أكدت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني بدولة الكويت اليوم (الأحد)، أنها قدمت رسالة احتجاج رسمية ثانية إلى منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (إيكاو) بشأن الانتهاكات والاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة التي طالت سيادة دولة الكويت من خلال انتهاك مجالها الجوي ومرافق مطارها الدولي وما ترتب على ذلك من تداعيات خطيرة على سلامة وأمن الطيران المدني.
وقالت الهيئة في بيانإن رسالة الاحتجاج أكدت أن «هذه الاعتداءات تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً وخطيراً للمواثيق والاتفاقيات الدولية المنظمة للطيران المدني وتشكل تهديداً مباشراً لسلامة الركاب وشركات الطيران والعاملين في مطار الكويت الدولي، إضافة إلى المنشآت والمرافق الحيوية التابعة للمطار».
ولفتت الانتباه إلى أن الاعتداء الأخير الذي طال مبنى (1T) الأربعاء الماضي أسفر عن وقوع وفيات وإصابات بشرية بليغة وخسائر مادية جسيمة وكبيرة جداً، وتسبب في تعطيل وتوقيف حركة الملاحة الجوية ووقف الرحلات من مطار الكويت الدولي وإليه، الأمر الذي انعكس بصورة مباشرة على عمليات النقل الجوي وحركة المسافرين.
وأوضحت أن خطورة الحادث تتضاعف لكونه وقع بعد نحو 48 ساعة فقط من إعادة افتتاح مبنى الركاب (1T) واستئناف حركة الرحلات الجوية للشركات العربية والأجنبية عقب استكمال أعمال إصلاح الأضرار وإعادة تأهيل المبنى المتضرر من الاعتداء الأول الذي تعرض له المطار في 28 فبراير الماضي وجهود دولة الكويت لإعادة تشغيل المرفق الحيوي واستعادة حركة الملاحة الجوية بصورة طبيعية وآمنة.
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation in the State of Kuwait confirmed today (Sunday) that it has submitted a second official protest letter to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regarding the Iranian violations and unlawful assaults that have affected the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait by violating its airspace and international airport facilities, which have resulted in serious repercussions on the safety and security of civil aviation.
The authority stated in a statement that the protest letter emphasized that “these assaults represent a blatant and serious violation of the international conventions and agreements governing civil aviation and pose a direct threat to the safety of passengers, airlines, and workers at Kuwait International Airport, in addition to the vital facilities and services associated with the airport.”
It drew attention to the fact that the recent assault on Building (1T) last Wednesday resulted in fatalities, severe injuries, and significant material losses, and caused the disruption and suspension of air traffic and flights to and from Kuwait International Airport, which directly impacted air transport operations and passenger movement.
It clarified that the severity of the incident is compounded by the fact that it occurred just 48 hours after the reopening of the passenger terminal (1T) and the resumption of flight operations for Arab and foreign airlines following the completion of repair work and the rehabilitation of the building damaged by the first assault that the airport suffered on February 28, as well as the efforts of the State of Kuwait to restore the vital facility and resume air traffic normally and safely.
