The joy of the Al-Hilal fans at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium was not merely a celebration of three Asian points, but transformed into an exceptional national scene following the victory over Al-Sadd with a score of two goals to nil, in the match that brought them together at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, as part of the second round of the Western Zone in the 2026 – 2027 AFC Champions League.
As soon as the referee blew the final whistle, the Al-Hilal players raced to raise the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia high in the middle of the pitch, in front of the eyes of the fans in Doha, capturing the spotlight and transcending the boundaries of the green rectangle.
The celebration was not fleeting; it seemed as if the victory carried the name of the nation before that of the club. Saudis and foreigners alike gathered around the green flag in a single image, embodying the spirit of a united team and the message of Al-Hilal as a representative of the nation on the continental stage.
