انطلق، صباح أمس (الأحد)، قطار المشاعر المقدسة في أولى رحلاته لموسم الحج لعام 1447؛ لخدمة ضيوف الرحمن في تنقلاتهم بين المشاعر المقدسة في منى وعرفات ومزدلفة، وذلك عبر منظومة متكاملة تضم 9 محطات موزعة على طول مسار القطار.
ويتمتع قطار المشاعر بقدرة استيعابية فائقة؛ إذ تصل سعة القطار الواحد إلى نحو 3,000 راكب، فيما تبلغ طاقته التشغيلية 72 ألف راكب في الساعة، مما يجعله من أكثر أنظمة النقل كثافةً على مستوى العالم. وتستهدف الخطة التشغيلية لهذا الموسم نقل ما يزيد على مليوني راكب عبر 2,000 رحلة.
ويؤدي القطار دوراً محوريّاً في تعزيز انسيابية الحركة داخل المشاعر بالتنسيق مع الجهات الأمنية والخدمية، كما يسهم في خفض الازدحام المروري من خلال الاستغناء عن أكثر من 50 ألف رحلة حافلة خلال موسم الحج، مما يعزز كفاءة التنقل.
وكانت الخطوط الحديدية السعودية «سار» أعلنت جاهزية القطار للموسم، عقب إتمام أعمال الصيانة والتجهيز لأسطولها المكون من 17 قطاراً، إلى جانب رفع كفاءة الأنظمة الفنية والتشغيلية، بما في ذلك أنظمة الإشارات والاتصالات ومركز التحكم والمحطات؛ حرصاً على توفير تجربة نقل آمنة وموثوقة للحجاج.
يشار إلى أن قطار المشاعر المقدسة، الذي دخل الخدمة عام 2010، يُعد أحد أهم مشاريع النقل في الحج، وقد انتقلت مسؤولية تشغيله وصيانته إلى «سار».
Yesterday morning (Sunday), the Sacred Sites Train commenced its first journey for the Hajj season of 1447; to serve the guests of Allah in their transportation between the sacred sites in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, through a comprehensive system that includes 9 stations distributed along the train’s route.
The Sacred Sites Train boasts an exceptional capacity; each train can accommodate approximately 3,000 passengers, while its operational capacity reaches 72,000 passengers per hour, making it one of the most densely used transportation systems in the world. The operational plan for this season aims to transport more than two million passengers through 2,000 trips.
The train plays a pivotal role in enhancing the smooth flow of movement within the sacred sites in coordination with security and service agencies, and it helps reduce traffic congestion by eliminating more than 50,000 bus trips during the Hajj season, thereby enhancing transportation efficiency.
Saudi Railways (SAR) announced the train’s readiness for the season after completing maintenance and preparation work for its fleet of 17 trains, as well as improving the efficiency of technical and operational systems, including signaling and communication systems, control centers, and stations; in order to provide a safe and reliable transportation experience for the pilgrims.
It is noteworthy that the Sacred Sites Train, which entered service in 2010, is considered one of the most important transportation projects for Hajj, and the responsibility for its operation and maintenance has been transferred to SAR.
