وتعود كواليس القضية إلى اتفاقية أتعاب ضخمة أُبرمت بين الطرفين لتولي الدفاع وتمثيل الموكل في حزمة معقدة من النزاعات التجارية والتنفيذية. وكان النص التعاقدي قد حدد الأتعاب بمبلغ مقطوع مدفوع بشيك بنكي، مع شروط صارمة تحفظ حقوق المكتب في حال سحب الملفات أو تغيير الممثل القانوني. وعقب نجاح الشركة في أداء مهامها المهنية وتقديم مذكرات الدفاع بكفاءة تامة، اصطدمت بامتناع الموكل المفاجئ عن سداد أي جزء من مستحقاتها المالية.
ولكن المفاجأة التي حسمت النزاع لم تأتِ من أروقة المرافعات الطويلة، بل من الموكل نفسه، إذ حضر بشخصه أمام قاعة المحكمة وقدم مذكرة جوابية حملت إقراراً قضائياً صريحاً لا رجعة فيه، معترفاً بأحقية الشركة الكاملة في المبلغ ومقراً بعدم سداده لأي جزء منه. هذا الإقرار اعتبرته المحكمة حجة قاطعة لا تقبل التشكيك، لتصدر حكمها البات بإلزام المدان بدفع الملايين للمحاميين، مسدلة الستار على واحدة من أغرب وأضخم قضايا الأتعاب المهنية في الخليج.

After the firm successfully performed its professional duties and submitted defense memoranda with complete efficiency, it faced the client’s sudden refusal to pay any part of its financial dues.
However, the surprise that resolved the dispute did not come from the lengthy courtroom proceedings, but from the client himself, who personally appeared before the courtroom and submitted a reply memorandum that contained an explicit and irrevocable judicial acknowledgment, recognizing the firm’s full entitlement to the amount and admitting to not having paid any part of it. The court considered this acknowledgment as conclusive evidence that could not be questioned, issuing its final ruling obligating the defendant to pay millions to the lawyers, thus drawing the curtain on one of the strangest and largest cases of professional fees in the Gulf.
