وسط تبادل روسيا وأوكرانيا الاتهامات بانتهاك وقف إطلاق النار، هدد الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين اليوم (السبت) بضربات انتقامية على كييف، إذا حاولت تعطيل احتفالات يوم النصر.
وقال بوتين في مؤتمر صحفي بمناسبة «يوم النصر»: إذا حاولت أوكرانيا تعطيل احتفالات يوم النصر فإن روسيا ستشن ضربات انتقامية في قلب كييف، موضحاً أن موسكو قدمت في 5 مايو مقترح تبادل أسرى إلى كييف، كما أرسلت قائمة تضم 500 عسكري أوكراني.
وأشار إلى أن بلاده لم تتلقَ بعد أي مقترحات من أوكرانيا بشأن تبادل الأسرى، مضيفاً: رئيس وزراء سلوفاكيا أبلغني استعداد فولوديمير زيلينسكي لعقد اجتماع معي.
وأشار إلى أنه يمكن الاجتماع مع زيلينسكي في دولة ثالثة، لكن بعد التوصل لاتفاق سلام بهدف توقيع اتفاقية نهائية، مبيناً أن ترمب تحدث باحترام كبير عن 9 مايو خلال آخر محادثة هاتفية.
ولفت إلى أن ترمب يسعى للتسوية بشأن أوكرانيالكن هذا شأن روسي أوكراني بالدرجة الأولى.
وكانت وزارة الدفاع الروسية قد قالت في وقت سابق إنه «رغم إعلان وقف لإطلاق النار، شنت جماعات مسلحة أوكرانية هجمات باستخدام طائرات مسيّرة ومدفعية على مواقع لقواتنا».
في المقابل، أعلنت هيئة الأركان العامة الأوكرانية أنه «منذ بداية هذا اليوم، بلغ عدد الهجمات التي شنها المعتدي 51».
وكانت روسيا وأوكرانيا قد أكدتا أمس (الجمعة)، أنهما وافقتا على وقف نار لمدة 3 أيام بوساطة أمريكية، يبدأ من التاسع من مايو وحتى 11 من الشهر ذاته، وهو ما أكده الرئيس الأمريكي على منصة «تروث سوشال»، حين قال إن البلدين اللذين يخوضان صراعاً دام أكثر من 4 سنوات، سيتبادلان 1000 أسير حرب.
وأعرب ترمب عن أمله في تمديد وقف النار، قائلاً: «أود أن أرى تمديداً كبيراً. قد يكون ذلك ممكناً».
Amidst the exchange of accusations between Russia and Ukraine regarding violations of the ceasefire, Russian President Vladimir Putin today (Saturday) threatened retaliatory strikes on Kyiv if Ukraine attempted to disrupt Victory Day celebrations.
Putin stated at a press conference on the occasion of “Victory Day”: If Ukraine tries to disrupt the Victory Day celebrations, Russia will launch retaliatory strikes in the heart of Kyiv, explaining that Moscow had proposed a prisoner exchange to Kyiv on May 5, and had sent a list of 500 Ukrainian military personnel.
He noted that his country had not yet received any proposals from Ukraine regarding the prisoner exchange, adding: The Prime Minister of Slovakia informed me of Volodymyr Zelensky’s readiness to meet with me.
He mentioned that a meeting with Zelensky could take place in a third country, but only after reaching a peace agreement aimed at signing a final treaty, indicating that Trump spoke with great respect about May 9 during their last phone conversation.
He pointed out that Trump is seeking a settlement regarding Ukraine, but this is primarily a Russian-Ukrainian matter.
The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously stated that “despite the announcement of a ceasefire, armed Ukrainian groups launched attacks using drones and artillery on our forces’ positions.”
In contrast, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that “since the beginning of this day, the number of attacks launched by the aggressor has reached 51.”
Russia and Ukraine confirmed yesterday (Friday) that they had agreed to a ceasefire for 3 days, mediated by the United States, starting from May 9 until May 11, which was confirmed by the U.S. President on the “Truth Social” platform, when he stated that the two countries, which have been in conflict for more than 4 years, would exchange 1,000 prisoners of war.
Trump expressed hope for an extension of the ceasefire, saying: “I would like to see a significant extension. That may be possible.”
