أعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، السبت، تعيين طاقم تحكيم مغربي لإدارة مباراة منتخبي البرتغال وأوزبكستان ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من دور المجموعات في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، المقامة في الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وكندا.
وأسند «فيفا» مهمة قيادة اللقاء إلى الحكم المغربي جلال جيد (39 عاماً) بمساعدة مواطنيه زكريا برينسي ومصطفى أكراكاد، اللذين سيتوليان مهمات الحكمين المساعدين على خطَي الملعب.
وتأتي هذه المواجهة في المجموعة الـ11، ويسعى المنتخب البرتغالي إلى تعويض تعثره في الجولة الافتتاحية بعد اكتفائه بالتعادل أمام منتخب الكونغو الديمقراطية بنتيجة 1-1، فيما يدخل منتخب أوزبكستان المباراة بحثاً عن استعادة توازنه عقب خسارته أمام كولومبيا بنتيجة 1-3.
وكان جلال جيد قد سجل حضوره الأول في منافسات كأس العالم خلال النسخة الحالية، بعدما أدار مباراة ألمانيا وكوراساو في الجولة الأولى من دور المجموعات، التي انتهت بفوز المنتخب الألماني بنتيجة كبيرة بلغت 7-1.
ويعد تعيين الحكم المغربي امتداداً لمسيرته التي شهدت إدارة العديد من المباريات على المستويين المحلي والقاري، قبل أن يحظى بفرصة المشاركة في إدارة مباريات كأس العالم للمرة الأولى.
ويستعيد التحكيم المغربي بذلك حضوراً تاريخياً في المونديال، بعدما سبق للحكم المغربي الراحل سعيد بلقولة أن أدار نهائي كأس العالم 1998 بين البرازيل وفرنسا، ليصبح أول حكم عربي وأفريقي يقود نهائي البطولة العالمية.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) announced on Saturday the appointment of a Moroccan refereeing crew to officiate the match between the national teams of Portugal and Uzbekistan in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, which is being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
FIFA has assigned the task of leading the match to Moroccan referee Jalal Jaid (39 years old), assisted by his compatriots Zakaria Brince and Mustafa Akarkad, who will take on the roles of assistant referees on the sidelines.
This encounter is part of Group 11, and the Portuguese team is looking to recover from their setback in the opening round after settling for a draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo with a score of 1-1, while the Uzbekistan team enters the match seeking to regain their balance following their loss to Colombia with a score of 1-3.
Jalal Jaid made his first appearance in World Cup competitions during the current edition, having officiated the match between Germany and Curacao in the first round of the group stage, which ended with a significant victory for the German team with a score of 7-1.
The appointment of the Moroccan referee is a continuation of his career, which has seen him officiate many matches at both the local and continental levels, before having the opportunity to participate in officiating World Cup matches for the first time.
This marks a historic return for Moroccan officiating in the World Cup, as the late Moroccan referee Said Belqola previously officiated the 1998 World Cup final between Brazil and France, becoming the first Arab and African referee to lead the final of the global tournament.
