في مشهد ثقافي يرسخ حضور الترجمة بوصفها جسراً للحوار بين اللغات والثقافات، نظم سفراء جمعية الأدب المهنية بالتعاون مع قهوة سين، ضمن مبادرة الشريك الأدبي، أمسية ثقافية متخصصة بعنوان «الترجمة الأدبية وتنوع الأجناس: من القصة إلى المسرح إلى الشعر في ضوء الأمانة والتأويل».
وشهدت الأمسية مشاركة نخبة من الأكاديميين والمتخصصين، هم: إيمان محمد سعيد صالح تونسي، وهديل أزهر، ونادية خوندنه، فيما أدارت الحوار صباح فارسي.
وتناولت الأمسية عدداً من القضايا المرتبطة بالترجمة الأدبية، مستعرضة خصوصية كل جنس أدبي وما يفرضه من تحديات جمالية وفكرية على المترجم. كما ناقش المشاركون إشكالات ترجمة المسرح، وما تتطلبه من وعي بالسياق الأدائي والثقافي، إلى جانب التوقف عند ترجمة الشعر بوصفها أحد أكثر مسارات الترجمة حساسية وتعقيداً، فضلاً عن استعراض ملامح ترجمة السرد القصصي وآليات نقل روحه الفنية إلى لغة أخرى.
وشهد اللقاء تفاعلاً لافتاً من الحضور الذين أسهموا بمداخلاتهم وتساؤلاتهم في إثراء النقاش، خصوصا حول دور المترجم في بناء جسور التفاهم الإنساني ونقل التجارب الإبداعية بين الشعوب. ويعكس هذا الحضور المتنامي الاهتمام المتزايد بالترجمة بوصفها رافداً أساسياً للحراك الثقافي والمعرفي.
وتأتي هذه الأمسية امتداداً للجهود الرامية إلى تنشيط المشهد الأدبي في مدينة جدة، عبر تقديم برامج ثقافية نوعية تسهم في تعميق الوعي بالأدب والترجمة، وتفتح آفاقاً أوسع للحوار بين المبدعين والمهتمين بالشأن الثقافي.
In a cultural scene that reinforces the presence of translation as a bridge for dialogue between languages and cultures, the ambassadors of the Professional Literature Association, in collaboration with Café Sin, organized a specialized cultural evening titled “Literary Translation and Genre Diversity: From Story to Theater to Poetry in Light of Fidelity and Interpretation”.
The evening witnessed the participation of a select group of academics and specialists, including: Iman Mohammed Said Saleh Tunis, Hadeel Azhar, and Nadia Khoundneh, while the discussion was moderated by Sabah Farsi.
The evening addressed several issues related to literary translation, reviewing the uniqueness of each literary genre and the aesthetic and intellectual challenges it imposes on the translator. Participants also discussed the complexities of translating theater, which requires an awareness of the performative and cultural context, as well as the nuances of translating poetry, regarded as one of the most sensitive and complex paths of translation, in addition to examining the features of translating narrative prose and the mechanisms for conveying its artistic spirit into another language.
The meeting saw notable interaction from the attendees, who contributed their insights and questions to enrich the discussion, particularly regarding the role of the translator in building bridges of human understanding and transferring creative experiences between peoples. This growing presence reflects the increasing interest in translation as a fundamental contributor to cultural and intellectual movement.
This evening comes as an extension of efforts aimed at revitalizing the literary scene in the city of Jeddah, by offering quality cultural programs that contribute to deepening awareness of literature and translation, and opening broader horizons for dialogue between creators and those interested in cultural affairs.
