وصف الدولي السابق لاعب فريق القادسية خالد جاسم اللقاء الذي سيجمع منتخبنا الوطني بمنتخب الأوروغواي بـ«المواجهة الصعبة»، نظراً إلى أن كلا المنتخبين سيدخلان المباراة من أجل النقاط الثلاث خصوصاً أنها المباراة الأولى لهما في كأس العالم 2026.
وقال جاسم في حديثه لـ«عكاظ»: «المباراة كبيرة مليئة بالتحديات الفنية والتكتيكية. المنتخب السعودي سوف يدخل المباراة من أجل الفوز أو التعادل على أقل تقدير، خصوصا أنه سيقابل خصماً عنيداً ولا يستهان به. أعتقد أن مدرب منتخبنا الوطني دونيس سيدخل المباراة بشكل مختلف، خصوصاً بعد المباريات الودية الأخيرة التي خاضها المنتخب، وسيحرص على خطف النقاط الثلاث التي ستكون قفزة نوعية لصالح منتخبنا في الجولات القادمة.
أما منتخب الأوروغواي فلن يكون صيداً سهلاً لمنتخبنا الوطني، وهو من المنتخبات القوية التي يحسب لها ألف حساب، ويمتلك لاعبين على مستوى عالٍ، ولديهم إمكانيات كبيرة ويصنعون الفارق في أي دقيقة من المباراة، ولا شك أن مدرب منتخب الأوروغواي تابع منتخبنا بشكل جيد ودرس لاعبينا قبل المواجهة المرتقبة».
وتمنى جاسم في نهاية حديثه أن يحقق المنتخب السعودي الفوز في مباراة الأوروغواي ويقتنص النقاط الثلاث التي ستكون مهمة بالنسبة لنا، خصوصاً أنها في بداية المشوار في كأس العالم 2026.
The former international player of Al-Qadisiyah team, Khalid Jassim, described the upcoming match between our national team and the Uruguay national team as a “tough encounter,” given that both teams will enter the match seeking the three points, especially since it is their first match in the 2026 World Cup.
Jassim said in his talk to “Okaz”: “The match is significant and filled with technical and tactical challenges. The Saudi national team will enter the match aiming for a win or at least a draw, especially since they will be facing a tough and formidable opponent. I believe our national team coach, Donis, will approach the match differently, particularly after the recent friendly matches the team has played, and he will be keen to seize the three points, which would be a significant boost for our team in the upcoming rounds.
As for the Uruguay national team, they will not be an easy target for our national team, as they are one of the strong teams that must be taken seriously, possessing high-level players with great capabilities who can make a difference at any moment in the match. There is no doubt that the coach of the Uruguay national team has closely followed our team and studied our players before the anticipated encounter.”
At the end of his remarks, Jassim hoped that the Saudi national team would achieve victory in the match against Uruguay and secure the three points, which would be crucial for us, especially since it is the beginning of our journey in the 2026 World Cup.
