ظلت المملكة العربية السعودية؛ التي شرّفها الله بخدمة بيته العتيق وضيوف الرحمن من حجاج ومعتمرين وزوّار، تبذل أقصى جهودها لتطوير الأراضي المقدسة، خصوصاً البيت الحرام، والمشاعر المقدسة، والمسجد النبوي في المدينة المنورة. وقد بدت تلك الجهود واضحة جلياً بعدما تم بناء منشأة رمي الجمرات، وإسكان الحجاج، وتوفير أحدث مراكز الرعاية الصحية، وتسيير قطار المشاعر. لكنها أخذت قفزة جديدة بعدما أضحت التكنولوجيا الحديثة جزءاً لا يتجزأ من تجهيزات موسم حج كل عام. وهي لا تقتصر على «الروبوتات» التي تساعد الحجيج داخل الحرم المكي؛ بل امتدت لتشمل الخدمات الأمنية، واللوجستية، والتنبؤات الجوية. ونتيجة لذلك يجد ضيوف الرحمن أنفسهم وهم يؤدون مناسكهم بمُنتهى اليُسر والسهولة، محفوفين برعاية شباب السعودية وقوات أمنها، الذين جعلوا خدمة الحجاج واجباً يؤدونه عن إيمان، وخُلق حسن.
ولعل هذا التطور الذي يستفيد منه ويشهده حجاج هذا الموسم، تمكن مقارنته بالعهود التي سبقت توافر التكنولوجيا الجديدة، خصوصاً الذكاء الاصطناعي، الذي تطمح المملكة تحت رعاية قيادتها الرشيدة -ممثلةً في خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود- إلى أن تحقق فيه مركزاً متقدماً عالمياً وإقليمياً، من خلال استثماراتها الضخمة في مراكز البيانات.
في كلا الحالتين، كان تطوير خدمات الحج جهداً سعودياً مكثفاً، غير أنه في الآونة الأخيرة أخذ يتسارع ويزداد إتقاناً مع احتضانها التكنولوجيا المتقدمة التي باتت متاحة. والحقيقة أن السعودية لم تتراخَ في أيِّ يومٍ منذ عهد مؤسسها الراحل الملك عبدالعزيز آل سعود -طيَّب الله ثراه- الذي قام بتوسيع الحرمين الشريفين، وواصل أبناؤه الملوك الراحلون ذلك التحديث بهمّة عالية. وأضحى لذلك الالتزام القيادي معنى آخر منذ أن تولى خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود مسؤولية حكم البلاد في عام 2015.
وتراكمت للمملكة خبرات متفردة عالمياً في فنون إدارة الحشود، ومنع وقوع الحوادث، وتسهيل تنقلات ضيوف الرحمن بين المقدسات الإسلامية من دون عناء يُذكر. وإذا أضفنا إلى ذلك استحداث برنامج «طريق مكة»، والتوسع فيه، فإن تأدية المناسك أضحت تتم بيسر قد لا يتوقعه القادمون من كل فجٍّ عميقٍ. وما إن ينتهي موسم الحج حتى يبدأ مسؤولو الجهات الحكومية المختصة اجتماعات مكثفة لجعل موسم الحج التالي أكثر سهولة، وأماناً، وسلامة صحية، وسط منظومة متكاملة من الخدمات الاستهلاكية والغذائية.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, honored by God to serve His ancient house and the guests of الرحمن, including pilgrims and umrah performers, has been making every effort to develop the holy lands, especially the Sacred House, the holy sites, and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. These efforts have become clearly evident after the construction of the Jamarat facility, housing for pilgrims, the provision of the latest healthcare centers, and the operation of the Mashair train. However, it has taken a new leap as modern technology has become an integral part of the preparations for the Hajj season each year. This does not only include “robots” that assist pilgrims inside the Grand Mosque; it has also extended to security services, logistics, and weather predictions. As a result, the guests of الرحمن find themselves performing their rituals with utmost ease and convenience, surrounded by the care of Saudi youth and its security forces, who have made serving the pilgrims a duty they fulfill with faith and good character.
This development, which this season’s pilgrims benefit from and witness, can be compared to the eras before the availability of new technology, especially artificial intelligence, which the Kingdom aspires to achieve a leading global and regional position in under the guidance of its wise leadership, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, through its massive investments in data centers.
In both cases, the development of Hajj services has been an intensive Saudi effort; however, recently it has accelerated and become more refined with the embrace of advanced technology that has become available. The truth is that Saudi Arabia has not faltered for a single day since the era of its founder, the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – who expanded the Two Holy Mosques, and his sons, the late kings, continued that modernization with great zeal. Thus, this leadership commitment has taken on a new meaning since Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud assumed the responsibility of ruling the country in 2015.
The Kingdom has accumulated unique global experiences in crowd management, accident prevention, and facilitating the movement of the guests of الرحمن between Islamic holy sites without significant hassle. If we add to this the introduction and expansion of the “Makkah Route” program, performing the rituals has become easier than what those coming from every deep valley might expect. As soon as the Hajj season ends, officials from the relevant government agencies begin intensive meetings to make the next Hajj season easier, safer, and healthier, within a comprehensive system of consumer and food services.
