مع إعلان البنوك أرباحها السنوية، أطلق دعاءه السنوي بأن تفلس ولا تربح. قلت له: يمكنك أن تنتقد إسهاماتها الاجتماعية، لكن إفلاسها سيكون مؤشراً على إفلاس اقتصاد البلد، ولا أحد يتمنى أن يستجيب الله لدعائك !
صاحبي اقترض من أحد البنوك، وأثقلته فوائد تعثر سداد القرض. وكنت قد نصحته وأنصح غيره بعدم الاقتراض من البنوك إلا في حالتين أساسيتين، هما التعليم والسكن، لأن فيهما استثماراً ذا أثر مستدام، ويمكن أن أضيف لهما شراء سيارة تلبي الحاجة للتنقل لا الرفاهية، لكنه لم يقبل نصيحتي، وعبثاً أحاول إقناعه أنه ضحية قراره الشخصي !
إفلاس البنوك يعني فقدان حوالى 70 ألف شخص وظائفهم، أي 70 ألف أسرة ستتأثر بهذا الأمر، لكن الخاسر الأكبر هو الاقتصاد الوطني، والأزمة التي ستنشأ عن فقدان المودعين لأموالهم، مما يعني أن الخسارة لن تتوقف عند موظفي البنوك وأسرهم، بل ستتجاوزهم إلى دمار يمس كل شخص في المجتمع بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر !
بصراحة، لا أتذكر أن أرباح البنوك انخفضت في أي من السنوات التي عشتها، فحتى عندما يخسر الجميع تبقى البنوك رابحة، وهذا يلقي بمسؤولية أكبر عليها في المساهمة بفاعلية في تنمية المجتمع، وتحمل مسؤوليات اجتماعية أكبر، وفاء لهذه البيئة الحاضنة المربحة !
باختصار.. لا يوجد عاقل يتمنى خسارة البنوك أو انهيارها، لكننا نتمنى عليها إسهاماً أكبر في خلق الوظائف، وتخصيص جزء أكبر من أرباحها في خدمة المجتمع وتلبية احتياجاته !

Honestly, I do not remember that bank profits have decreased in any of the years I have lived through; even when everyone loses, the banks remain profitable, and this places a greater responsibility on them to contribute effectively to community development and to bear greater social responsibilities, in gratitude to this profitable nurturing environment!
In short.. there is no rational person who wishes for the loss or collapse of banks, but we do wish for them to contribute more to job creation and to allocate a larger portion of their profits to serve the community and meet its needs!
