أعلن الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، اليوم (السبت)، إقالة حسام حسن من تدريب المنتخب الأول عقب سلسلة من الأزمات، وتعيين علي ماهر خلفاً له.

وقال الاتحاد المصري، في بيان: «بعد دراسة كل الملابسات والأحداث التي شهدتها الفترة الماضية، وما ترتب عليها من تداعيات وتأثير سلبي على الصورة الإيجابية لمنتخبنا الوطني واستقراره، فقد قرر مجلس الإدارة، في إطار مسؤوليته، توجيه الشكر إلى الكابتن حسام حسن وجهازه الفني والإداري، استناداً إلى بنود العقد».
وأضاف البيان: «يثمن الاتحاد ما قدمه الكابتن حسام حسن من جهود وعطاء خلال فترة توليه مسؤولية القيادة الفنية، متمنياً له دوام التوفيق والنجاح في مسيرته المهنية المقبلة».
كما قرر مجلس إدارة الاتحاد تكليف علي ماهر بتولي مهام المدير الفني للمنتخب المصري خلال المرحلة المقبلة، وعرض تصوره لتشكيل الجهاز الفني.
أسباب إقالة حسام حسن
وجاءت إقالة حسام حسن لعدة أسباب، أبرزها توتر علاقته بقائد منتخب مصر محمد صلاح، وإيقافه ثلاث مباريات من قبل الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا»، على خلفية أحداث مواجهة مصر والأرجنتين، إلى جانب قرار المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام في مصر بمنع «العميد» من الظهور إعلامياً خلال الفترة المقبلة، عقب تصاعد الخلافات بينه وبين زوجته السابقة دان آدم.
The Egyptian Football Association announced today (Saturday) the dismissal of Hossam Hassan from coaching the national team following a series of crises, and the appointment of Ali Maher as his successor.
Statement from the Egyptian Federation
The Egyptian Federation stated in a statement: “After studying all the circumstances and events that have occurred in the past period, and the repercussions and negative impact on the positive image of our national team and its stability, the Board of Directors has decided, in the framework of its responsibility, to thank Captain Hossam Hassan and his technical and administrative staff, based on the terms of the contract.”
The statement added: “The Federation appreciates the efforts and contributions made by Captain Hossam Hassan during his tenure as the head coach, wishing him continued success and prosperity in his future professional career.”
The Board of Directors also decided to assign Ali Maher to take over the duties of the head coach of the Egyptian national team during the upcoming phase and to present his vision for forming the technical staff.
Reasons for Hossam Hassan’s Dismissal
Hossam Hassan’s dismissal came for several reasons, the most notable being the tension in his relationship with the captain of the Egyptian team, Mohamed Salah, and his suspension for three matches by FIFA following the events of the match between Egypt and Argentina, in addition to the decision by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt to prevent “The General” from appearing in the media during the upcoming period, following escalating disputes between him and his ex-wife, Dan Adam.
