أعلن المتحدث باسم الرئاسة الروسية دميتري بيسكوف أن بلاده تعرض خدماتها لنقل فائض اليورانيوم المخصب من إيران، معتبراً ذلك خياراً محتملاً من شأنه أن يُسهم في تخفيف التوترات بين عدد من الأطراف الدولية المعنية بالملف النووي الإيراني.
وقال بيسكوف في تصريحات صحفية أمس (الإثنين) إن هذا المقترح مدرج على جدول الأعمال منذ فترة طويلة، وإن روسيا تقدمه كأحد الحلول العملية التي يمكن أن تزيل بعض «العوامل المزعجة» لعدد من الدول في إطار جهود خفض التصعيد.
وأضاف المتحدث باسم الكرملين أن موسكو تواصل الاتصالات مع جميع الأطراف المعنية، مؤكداً أن روسيا ملتزمة بدور الوسيط والمساهم في إيجاد حلول فنية وسياسية للأزمة النووية الإيرانية.
يأتي هذا التصريح في سياق تصاعد التوترات الإقليمية والدولية المرتبطة بالبرنامج النووي الإيراني، خصوصاً بعد عودة الإدارة الأمريكية برئاسة دونالد ترمب إلى سياسة الضغط الأقصى، وتجدد المخاوف الإسرائيلية والغربية من تقدم إيران في تخصيب اليورانيوم إلى مستويات عالية.
وتشير تقديرات الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية إلى أن إيران تمتلك كميات كبيرة من اليورانيوم المخصب بما في ذلك مستويات تصل إلى 60% وأعلى في بعض الحالات، وهو ما يثير قلقاً دولياً لأنه يقترب من المستوى اللازم لصنع سلاح نووي، رغم إصرار طهران على أن برنامجها سلمي.
وتاريخياً، سبق أن اقترحت روسيا -إحدى الدول الرئيسية في الاتفاق النووي الإيراني 2015- حلولاً مشابهة، منها استضافة أو معالجة اليورانيوم المخصب الإيراني على أراضيها، أو تحويله إلى وقود للمفاعلات المدنية، كما حدث في إطار اتفاقات سابقة مثل نقل اليورانيوم من إيران إلى روسيا عام 2015–2016 ضمن تنفيذ الاتفاق.
ويأتي العرض الروسي الحالي وسط تقارير متضاربة عن إمكانية استئناف محادثات غير مباشرة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، وفي ظل رفض بعض المسؤولين الإيرانيين الحديث عن نقل المواد النووية خارج البلاد، بينما يُشير آخرون إلى استعداد طهران لإظهار مرونة في حال رفع العقوبات وتقديم ضمانات.
The spokesperson for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, announced that his country is offering its services to transport surplus enriched uranium from Iran, considering this a potential option that could help ease tensions among several international parties concerned with the Iranian nuclear file.
Peskov stated in press remarks yesterday (Monday) that this proposal has been on the agenda for a long time, and that Russia presents it as one of the practical solutions that could eliminate some “disturbing factors” for several countries in the context of de-escalation efforts.
The Kremlin spokesperson added that Moscow continues communications with all concerned parties, emphasizing that Russia is committed to its role as a mediator and contributor to finding technical and political solutions to the Iranian nuclear crisis.
This statement comes amid rising regional and international tensions related to the Iranian nuclear program, especially following the return of the U.S. administration under Donald Trump to a maximum pressure policy, and the renewed Israeli and Western concerns over Iran’s advancement in uranium enrichment to high levels.
Estimates from the International Atomic Energy Agency indicate that Iran possesses large quantities of enriched uranium, including levels reaching 60% and higher in some cases, which raises international concerns as it approaches the level necessary to produce a nuclear weapon, despite Tehran’s insistence that its program is peaceful.
Historically, Russia – one of the main countries in the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement – has proposed similar solutions, including hosting or processing Iranian enriched uranium on its territory, or converting it into fuel for civilian reactors, as happened in previous agreements such as the transfer of uranium from Iran to Russia in 2015-2016 as part of the implementation of the agreement.
The current Russian offer comes amid conflicting reports about the possibility of resuming indirect talks between Iran and the United States, and against the backdrop of some Iranian officials’ refusal to discuss the transfer of nuclear materials outside the country, while others indicate Tehran’s readiness to show flexibility if sanctions are lifted and guarantees are provided.
