A couple’s visit to a beauty salon in Jacksonville, Florida, turned into a shocking incident when a car crashed through the shop’s glass front and drove inside, colliding with them and trapping them between the vehicle and the reception desk, amid shattered glass and damage to parts of the place.
According to the American network “News 4 Jax” and local reports, the incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 10, inside the “Zinc Hair Studio” near the St. Johns Town Center. The couple, Aubrey and Stephen Gotham, had just finished getting their hair cut when a BMW crashed through the salon’s front.
Aubrey recounted that the couple heard a loud crash before realizing that the car was heading directly toward them, with no time to avoid the collision. The accident caused her to fall and injure her head, while her husband was trapped between the car and the reception desk, unable to move.
Stephen explained that he asked the driver to reverse the vehicle so he could get out of the space where he was trapped, while another person intervened to help his wife move away from the car.
Surveillance camera footage showed the vehicle after it crashed into the salon and settled inside, following the shattering of the glass front, capturing the moments when an ordinary visit turned into a shocking incident.
The couple was taken to the hospital for treatment before being allowed to leave later that evening. Aubrey sustained head injuries that required four stitches, and she received care to address the anxiety that followed the incident, while Stephen suffered from rib pain, bruises, and other injuries.
