في استجابة أمنية مباغتة وحاسمة أثارت ارتياح الأوساط الفنية في مصر، نجحت وزارة الداخلية المصرية في إسدال الستار على واحدة من أكثر قصص الهروب والنصب تعقيداً، بعدما أطاحت بمحتال خطير وهارب من أحكام قضائية مرعبة، إثر استغاثة فيديو أطلقها الفنان كريم عبدالغني عبر حسابه الشخصي على «فيسبوك».
المتهم الذي ظن أن الاختباء في أرقى أحياء العاصمة سيحميه من قبضة العدالة، تبين أنه يدير شركة لتعبئة المواد الغذائية بمحافظة الإسكندرية، والصدمة الكبرى تجسدت في سجله الجنائي الحافل، إذ كشفت الفحوصات أنه مطلوب للتنفيذ عليه بالحبس في 38 قضية متنوعة شملت تهم «التزوير، والتبديد، والضرب، وشيكات دون رصيد».
وجاء التحرك الأمني الفوري بعد رصد ومتابعة دقيقة لمقطع الفيديو الذي بثه نجم مسلسل «الاختيار»، حيث تم رصد المخبأ السري بعدما قامت الأجهزة الأمنية بجمع التحريات وتتبع خط سير المتهم، ليتضح أنه غادر مسقطه برأس الرمل في الإسكندرية واتخذ من شقة سكنية بدائرة قسم شرطة التجمع الخامس بالقاهرة الجديدة ملاذاً للاختباء. ثم جاءت المداهمة المباغتة إذ دهمت قوة أمنية مكبرة موقع الاختباء، وجرى إلقاء القبض على المتهم وسط ذهول الجيران، وتم اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات القانونية لإحالته إلى جهات التنفيذ.
وفي تصريحات صحفية، كشف الفنان كريم عبدالغني الجرح المالي الذي تسبب فيه هذا المحتال، موضحاً أن الأزمة بدأت منذ أكثر من ثلاث سنوات عندما حرر له المتهم شيكات بنكية بمبالغ ضخمة تبين لاحقاً أنها «دون رصيد».
وأضاف عبدالغني أنه بعد محاولات ودية فاشلة، سلك المسار القضائي واستصدر بالفعل أحكاماً جنائية نهائية وواجبة النفاذ ضد المتهم، إلا أن الأخير تبخر وتوارى عن الأنظار طوال الأشهر الماضية، قبل أن يقرر الفنان اللجوء لسلاح «السوشيال ميديا» الذي حرك وزارة الداخلية لتعيد له حقه المسلوب من بين براثن نصاب محترف.
In a surprising and decisive security response that brought relief to the artistic community in Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior succeeded in bringing to a close one of the most complex stories of escape and fraud, after apprehending a dangerous con artist who was evading terrifying judicial sentences, following a video plea launched by the artist Karim Abdel Ghani through his personal account on “Facebook”.
The accused, who thought that hiding in the most upscale neighborhoods of the capital would protect him from the grip of justice, turned out to be managing a food packaging company in Alexandria. The biggest shock was revealed in his extensive criminal record, as investigations showed that he was wanted for imprisonment in 38 various cases, including charges of “forgery, embezzlement, assault, and issuing checks without funds”.
The immediate security action came after careful monitoring and tracking of the video clip broadcasted by the star of the series “El Ikhtiyar”, where the secret hideout was identified after security agencies gathered intelligence and traced the accused’s movements. It became clear that he had left his original location in Ras El Sand in Alexandria and taken refuge in an apartment within the jurisdiction of the Fifth Settlement Police Department in New Cairo. Then came the sudden raid, as a large security force stormed the hideout, and the accused was arrested amidst the astonishment of the neighbors, with all legal procedures taken to refer him to the execution authorities.
In press statements, artist Karim Abdel Ghani revealed the financial wound caused by this con artist, explaining that the crisis began more than three years ago when the accused issued him bank checks for large amounts that later turned out to be “without funds”.
Abdel Ghani added that after unsuccessful friendly attempts, he pursued the legal route and indeed obtained final and enforceable criminal judgments against the accused. However, the latter vanished and evaded capture for the past months, before the artist decided to resort to the weapon of “social media” that prompted the Ministry of Interior to restore his stolen rights from the clutches of a professional fraudster.
