وسط تأكيدات بوصول الوفد الأمريكي برئاسة المبعوث الخاص ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر إلى منتجع بورجنشتوك السويسري، أعلنت إيران اليوم (السبت) توجه وفدها إلى سويسرا.
ونقلت وكالة فارس عن المتحدث باسم الخارجية، إسماعيل بقائي قوله: «الوفد سيطالب بتنفيذ الالتزامات الأمريكية وتحديد الكيفية التي يعتزمون الوفاء بها»، مضيفاً: «التزمنا بتعهداتنا وأمريكا ملزمة بإجبار إسرائيل على وقف هجماتها على لبنان».
وحذر بقائي من أن «عدم تنفيذ الالتزامات سيعرض التفاهم للخطر»، مؤكداً أنه «على الطرف الآخر اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة في أقرب وقت ممكن».
وهدد المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية بالتصعيد إذا رفضت أمريكا تنفيذ الالتزامات قائلاً: «إذا رفض الطرف الآخر تنفيذ التزاماته فسترد إيران بالإجراءات اللازمة».
ولفت إلى أن طهران لم توقّع على التزام لن يُنفّذ، ونهجها واضح ألا وهو التزام مقابل التزام.
بدوره، قال مسؤول أمريكي إن الجيش الإسرائيلي أبلغ القيادة المركزية الأمريكية بأنه أمر وحداته بالالتزام بوقف إطلاق النار في لبنان.
ونقلت القناة 12 الإسرائيلية عن مصادر قولها إن قرار وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان اُتخذ بعد ضغط أمريكي هائل على إسرائيل، مبينة أن الجيش وبإيعاز من رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو ووزير الدفاع يسرائيل كاتس أوقف إطلاق النار في لبنان، لكنه لن ينسحب من المناطق التي يسيطر عليها.
وذكرت أن قرار نتنياهو وكاتس وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان جاء بالتنسيق مع الولايات المتحدة.
وكان الجيش الإسرائيلي قد أعلن مقتل جندي وإصابة ضابط و12 عسكرياً آخرين في معارك جنوبي لبنان أمس، وبحسب هيئة البث الإسرائيلية فإن الجندي قُتل جراء إطلاق «حزب الله» صواريخ ومسيّرات قرب بلدة كفرتبنيت حيث استهدفوا وهم في موقع محصن.
في المقابل، قال نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جيه دي فانس إنه واثق من قدرة واشنطن على الحفاظ على وقف إطلاق النار، مشيراً إلى أنه لا يعلم ما إذا كان هناك تباين في الأهداف أم أن الأمر يقتصر أحياناً على اختلاف في كيفية تحقيقها.
وأضاف فانس أنه لا يريد التحدث نيابة عن الحكومة الإسرائيلية، معتبراً أنها كانت شريكاً جيداً في جوانب كثيرة.
وأكد فانس أن واشنطن ستمنح المفاوضات فرصة، وستتعامل مع مخزون اليورانيوم المخصب الإيراني.
Amid confirmations of the arrival of the American delegation led by special envoy Steve Wittekov and Jared Kushner to the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock, Iran announced today (Saturday) that its delegation is heading to Switzerland.
The Fars news agency quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei as saying: “The delegation will demand the implementation of American commitments and clarify how they intend to fulfill them,” adding: “We have committed to our obligations, and America is obliged to force Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon.”
Baghaei warned that “failure to implement the commitments will jeopardize the understanding,” emphasizing that “the other party must take the necessary measures as soon as possible.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman threatened escalation if America refused to fulfill its commitments, stating: “If the other party refuses to fulfill its obligations, Iran will respond with the necessary measures.”
He pointed out that Tehran has not signed a commitment that will not be implemented, and its approach is clear: a commitment in exchange for a commitment.
For his part, an American official stated that the Israeli army informed the U.S. Central Command that it had ordered its units to adhere to the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Channel 12 in Israel reported, citing sources, that the decision to cease fire in Lebanon was made after immense American pressure on Israel, indicating that the army, under the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, stopped the fire in Lebanon but would not withdraw from the areas it controls.
It was mentioned that the decision by Netanyahu and Katz to cease fire in Lebanon came in coordination with the United States.
The Israeli army had announced the death of a soldier and the injury of an officer and 12 other soldiers in battles in southern Lebanon yesterday. According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the soldier was killed due to the firing of rockets and drones by “Hezbollah” near the town of Kfar Tabbnit, where they were targeted while in a fortified position.
In contrast, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that he is confident in Washington’s ability to maintain the ceasefire, noting that he does not know whether there is a divergence in objectives or if it sometimes comes down to differences in how to achieve them.
Vance added that he does not want to speak on behalf of the Israeli government, considering it a good partner in many respects.
Vance confirmed that Washington will give negotiations a chance and will address the stock of Iranian enriched uranium.
