وسط ترقب لتوقيع مذكرة التفاهم بين واشنطن وطهران، توعدت القيادة العسكرية الإيرانية بالرد على قصف إسرائيل الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، في وقت أعلن رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي إيال زامير أن عمليات الجيش تركز حالياً على لبنان.
وأفاد زامير في تصريحات، اليوم (الأحد)، بأن القوات الإسرائيلية مستعدة ومتأهبة على كل الجبهات والساحات، لافتاً إلى أن الجيش سيعمق ضرباته ضد «حزب الله» في لبنان.
واعتبر أن «الإنجازات الحالية في لبنان ستحسن وضع المفاوضات بوساطة أمريكا»، وفق زعمه.
وكان نائب قائد مقر خاتم الأنبياء محمد جعفر أسدي توعد بأن «جرائم الإسرائيليين في لبنان لن تمر دون رد». فيما ألمح رئيس البرلمان الإيراني محمد باقر قاليباف إلى احتمال وقف المسار الدبلوماسي مع الجانب الأمريكي، في حال لم يفِ بالتزاماته، في إشارة إلى وقف إطلاق النار على كل الجبهات بما فيها لبنان.
واتهم كبير المفاوضين الولايات المتحدة بعدم احترام التزاماتها بعد القصف الإسرائيلي على ضاحية بيروت الجنوبية، مؤكداً أن ذلك يهدد المحادثات بين البلدين. وكتب في منشور على حسابه في «إكس»: «إذا لم تكن لديكم الإرادة أو القدرة على الوفاء بالتزاماتكم، فلا جدوى من الحديث عن مواصلة هذا المسار التفاوضي».
وأعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي أنه استهدف مركزاً لـ«حزب الله» في ضاحية بيروت. فيما أفادت مصادر مطلعة باغتيال قيادي في الحزب يدعى علي الحاج.
Amid anticipation for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, the Iranian military leadership vowed to respond to Israel’s bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut, while Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced that the army’s operations are currently focused on Lebanon.
Zamir stated in remarks today (Sunday) that Israeli forces are prepared and on alert on all fronts and arenas, noting that the army will intensify its strikes against “Hezbollah” in Lebanon.
He considered that “the current achievements in Lebanon will improve the status of negotiations mediated by America,” according to his claims.
Deputy Commander of the Quds Headquarters, Mohammad Jafar Asadi, threatened that “the crimes of the Israelis in Lebanon will not go unanswered.” Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf hinted at the possibility of halting the diplomatic process with the American side if it does not fulfill its commitments, referring to a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
The chief negotiator accused the United States of not respecting its commitments following the Israeli bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut, asserting that this threatens the talks between the two countries. He wrote in a post on his account on “X”: “If you do not have the will or ability to fulfill your commitments, there is no point in talking about continuing this negotiation process.”
The Israeli army announced that it targeted a center belonging to “Hezbollah” in the suburbs of Beirut. Meanwhile, informed sources reported the assassination of a party leader named Ali Al-Haj.
