داخل غرفة فحص صغيرة يسكنها الهدوء المعتاد، انفجرت مواجهة غير متوقعة حطمت جدار «الحياد الطبي». ولم يكن الصدام بسبب تشخيص خاطئ أو إهمال، بل بسبب قبعة حمراء يرتديها مريض، لتهز أركان الوسط الطبي وتتحول إلى قضية رأي عام أمريكية.
«اخلع القبعة أو غادر»
بدأ المشهد بدخول رجل في الثلاثينات من عمره مرتدياً قبعة «MAGA» الحمراء الشهيرة المرتبطة بحملة الرئيس دونالد ترمب. وبينما كان المريض ينتظر سماعة الطبيبة، فوجئ بطلب «حازم» منها: «اخلع هذه القبعة أو غادر».

وبمجرد تسرب القصة، اشتعلت منصات التواصل الاجتماعي بانقسام حاد:
- الفريق الأول: يرى أن الطبيبة انتهكت «قسم أبقراط» ورفضت مساعدة إنسان بسبب موقف سياسي، وهو «سقوط مهني» لا يُغتفر.
- الفريق الثاني: دافع عن الطبيبة بقوة، مؤكداً أن من حق الطبيبة توفير بيئة عمل خالية من الاستقطاب، وأن «وقار العيادة» أهم من الشعارات الحزبية.
هذه الواقعة تضعنا أمام سؤال أخلاقي مرعب: هل وصلنا إلى زمن سيُحرم فيه المريض من العلاج بناءً على ما يرتديه؟ أم أن القواعد التنظيمية داخل المستشفيات يجب أن تعلو فوق الجميع؟

As the words escalated and the argument intensified between “Respect my freedom and your medical oath” and “Respect the rules of my space,” the doctor became enraged, sharply addressing the patient: “Take off that ridiculous hat if you want me to examine you. Who do you think you are? Do you think that hat makes you important? I am the important one here, and you need me, I don’t need you!” The argument ended with the patient being thrown out of the clinic without receiving treatment, leaving behind a storm that has yet to settle.
Once the story leaked, social media platforms ignited with sharp division:
- The first group: believes that the doctor violated the “Hippocratic Oath” and refused to help a person due to a political stance, which is an unforgivable “professional failure.”
