أشاد وزير الكهرباء والطاقة اليمني عدنان الكاف بالدعم السعودي العاجل المعلن عنه بقيمة 150 مليون دولار، والمخصص لقطاع الكهرباء لتغطية احتياجات التشغيل وتوفير الوقود لمحطات التوليد العاملة بالديزل والمازوت.
وأكد، في تصريح خاص إلى «عكاظ»، أهمية المنحة الجديدة المقدمة من المملكة العربية السعودية لقطاع الكهرباء، كونها تأتي في توقيت مهم وفي ظل الظروف الاستثنائية التي تمر بها اليمن، خصوصا قطاع الكهرباء.
وأشار إلى أن المنحة ستسهم في استدامة وتحسين خدمة الكهرباء، ورفع القدرة التوليدية والكفاءة التشغيلية، وتقليل ساعات الانقطاع والإطفاءات، وزيادة ساعات التشغيل، إلى جانب تحسين استقرار التيار الكهربائي في المحافظات المحررة، من خلال الاستفادة من الوقود الذي توفره المنحة.
وقال إن الدعم السعودي لقطاع الكهرباء يبعث برسالة محبة ووفاء من المملكة، باعتباره أحد أبرز وأهم أشكال الدعم التي يلمس المواطنون نتائجها بصورة مباشرة، إذ تصل رسالة المملكة إلى كل بيت عبر التيار الكهربائي الذي يضيء منازل المواطنين وحياتهم، ويبعث الأمل والثقة في نفوس الناس، باعتبار الكهرباء أساس التنمية والحياة.
وأضاف أن منحة المشتقات النفطية المقدمة دعمًا لقطاع الكهرباء تنعكس نتائجها على مجمل الأوضاع العامة، وتسهم في تحسين مستوى مختلف الخدمات الأخرى. كما استعرض ما تمثله المنحة من دعم إستراتيجي وحيوي للاقتصاد اليمني والحكومة اليمنية، كونها توفر ملايين الدولارات على خزينة الدولة كانت تُخصص لشراء الوقود، بما يساعد الحكومة على الوفاء بالتزاماتها الأخرى، وفي مقدمتها دفع الرواتب، والنهوض بمسؤولياتها، ودعم مسار التعافي والتنمية في اليمن.
ونوّه بأن منحة المشتقات النفطية المعلن عنها عبر البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن تمثل امتدادًا لمسيرة الدعم السعودي المقدم لليمن في مختلف الأوقات والظروف، مشيرًا إلى أن اليمنيين لن ينسوا مواقف السعودية ودعمها الدائم والمستمر لبلادهم، وسيظلون يحملون مشاعر الوفاء والتقدير للمملكة، بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان.
وعبّر وزير الكهرباء والطاقة اليمني عن تقدير الحكومة اليمنية لكافة أشكال الدعم المقدم من المملكة العربية السعودية، مؤكدًا أن هذا الدعم أسهم في مساعدة اليمن على تجاوز كثير من التحديات والظروف الصعبة التي مرت بها البلاد.
The Yemeni Minister of Electricity and Energy, Adnan Al-Khaf, praised the urgent Saudi support announced at a value of $150 million, allocated for the electricity sector to cover operational needs and provide fuel for diesel and mazut power generation stations.
He emphasized, in a special statement to “Okaz,” the importance of the new grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the electricity sector, as it comes at a crucial time amid the exceptional circumstances Yemen is going through, especially in the electricity sector.
He pointed out that the grant will contribute to the sustainability and improvement of electricity service, increase generation capacity and operational efficiency, reduce hours of outages and blackouts, and increase operating hours, in addition to improving the stability of the electrical current in the liberated provinces, by benefiting from the fuel provided by the grant.
He stated that the Saudi support for the electricity sector sends a message of love and loyalty from the Kingdom, as it is one of the most prominent and important forms of support that citizens directly feel the results of, as the Kingdom’s message reaches every home through the electricity that lights up citizens’ homes and lives, instilling hope and confidence in people’s hearts, considering electricity as the foundation of development and life.
He added that the grant of petroleum derivatives provided in support of the electricity sector reflects results on the overall general conditions and contributes to improving the level of various other services. He also reviewed what the grant represents as a strategic and vital support for the Yemeni economy and the Yemeni government, as it saves millions of dollars for the state treasury that were allocated for purchasing fuel, helping the government meet its other obligations, foremost of which is paying salaries, fulfilling its responsibilities, and supporting the path of recovery and development in Yemen.
He noted that the announced grant of petroleum derivatives through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen represents an extension of the Saudi support provided to Yemen in various times and circumstances, pointing out that Yemenis will not forget Saudi Arabia’s positions and its continuous and ongoing support for their country, and they will continue to carry feelings of loyalty and appreciation for the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Yemeni Minister of Electricity and Energy expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for all forms of support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming that this support has helped Yemen overcome many challenges and difficult circumstances that the country has faced.
