استمعت لتعقيب الزميل أحمد الشمراني «المرئي» عبر إحدى منصاته «الخاصة» على ما كتبته هنا في مقال تحت عنوان «تركي العبدالله وفشل صحفي».. ولا أعرف حقيقة لماذا فضل الرد بعيداً عن الصحيفة التي اختار أن ينشر فيها حوارا انتقدته.. ذلك أنه «أضاع فرصة مهنية نادرة تمثلت في وجود قامة كبيرة، كان يمكن أن يجعل الحوار منصة لتوضيح كثير من النقاط العالقة»، حيث فشل في إدارته من حيث البناء والأسئلة والنتيجة التي خرج بها القارئ، ناهيك عن أنه يعلم مهنياً ما هي مبادئ النشر في مثل هذه الحالات.. إلا إذا اعتقد أن هذه الوسيلة الأنسب لـ«الهروب» من المواجهة في نفس المنصة الإعلامية هو ظهوره متحدثاً «لبقا» لعل في لباقته ما «يشفع» له عندي متجاوزاً عن حوار لم يحقق الغاية المرجوة منه، بل انتهى إلى نتيجة مغايرة لما كان يُفترض أن يحققه.
-وبعد استماعي لـ«أبي محمد» تذكرت مشهداً من مسرحية «مدرسة المشاغبين»، وعبارة رددها الفنان سعيد صالح أكثر من مرة بقوله «ده كلام يا عبدالمعطي»، وهو نفس ردي مستعجباً غير مصدق أن صحفيا له أكثر من أربعين عاماً ممارساً العمل الصحفي لا يفرق بين «التصريح الصحفي والحوار الصحفي»، ألا يعلم أن هناك فرقا شاسعا، وهذا «مطب» وقع فيه «الشمراني»، دون أن يدري في لحظة «الأنا القاتلة»، ولسان حالي يقول: «جاء يكحلها عماها».
-لا أريد إحراج من وصف علاقتي به بـ«الصديق» عبر توضيح أكثر من «مطب» وقع فيه في حديثه المرئي، خاصة فيما يخص الهدف «السامي» الذي كان ينشده من ذلك الحوار، فالمهم يا صديقي العزيز أن تكون مقتنعاً تماماً بما جاء على لسانك، وإن كنت أتمنى بالفعل أنك قد حققت ذلك الهدف من حوار انتهى للأسف الشديد إلى نتيجة مغايرة لما كان يُفترض أن يحققه، فلا الحوار ولا التصريح وضح من هو المقصود الذي كان يعنيه ضيفك الكريم بمن يسيئون للتاريخ ورموزه بما يكشف الفرق بين المؤرخين الحقيقيين ومؤرخ متناقض في آرائه ومزيف للتاريخ، فقد خلطت بين «الصالح والطالح»، وجمعت «العالم مع الجاهل» ووضعتهم في «سلة واحدة»، وبالتالي أخفقت في بلوغ هدفك السامي، «فالاختلاف في قراءة التاريخ حق مشروع، أما إعادة صياغته وفق الأهواء أو خلط الحقائق بالانطباعات فذلك شأن آخر لا علاقة له بالبحث أو التوثيق»، ولهذا فالهدف «السامي» نأمل جميعا من الجهات المعنية ملاحقة هؤلاء المسيئين «ومنع فوضى» معلوماتية ينشرونها تحت ستار أقنعة تدافع عنهم وتدعم أكاذيبهم وافتراءاتهم على التاريخ ورموزه وبالذات من هم في دار الحق.
-ختاماً يا صديقي دعني أصدقك القول أولا «الحوار ليس مجرد حضور ضيف أمام صحفي، بل مسؤولية مهنية تبدأ من اختيار المحاور والأسئلة وتنتهي بما يتركه من أثر لدى المتلقي». ولعل أجمل ما في حديثك المرئي «عيناك اللتان لا تكذبان»، فقد كانتا الأجمل والأصدق والأسمى، أما ما عدا ذلك فكما ذكرت آنفاً «ده كلام يا عبد المعطي».
I listened to my colleague Ahmed Al-Shamrani’s “visual” commentary through one of his “private” platforms regarding what I wrote here in an article titled “Turki Al-Abdullah and Journalistic Failure”.. I honestly do not understand why he preferred to respond away from the newspaper in which he chose to publish an interview that I criticized.. He “missed a rare professional opportunity represented by the presence of a significant figure, who could have made the interview a platform to clarify many of the outstanding points,” as he failed in managing it in terms of structure, questions, and the outcome that the reader came away with, not to mention that he knows professionally what the principles of publishing are in such cases.. Unless he believes that this is the most suitable means to “escape” from confrontation on the same media platform by appearing as a “polite” speaker, hoping that his politeness might “exonerate” him in my eyes, overlooking an interview that did not achieve the intended goal, but rather ended with a result contrary to what it was supposed to accomplish.
-After listening to “Abu Mohammed,” I remembered a scene from the play “School of Troublemakers,” and a phrase repeated by the artist Said Saleh more than once saying, “This is nonsense, Abdul-Mu’ti,” which is the same response I have, astonished and disbelieving that a journalist with over forty years of experience does not differentiate between “a press statement and a press interview.” Does he not know that there is a vast difference, and this is a “trap” that “Al-Shamrani” fell into, without realizing it in a moment of “fatal ego,” and my state of mind says: “He came to embellish it but blinded it.”
-I do not want to embarrass someone who described my relationship with him as “friend” by clarifying more than one “trap” he fell into during his visual talk, especially regarding the “noble” goal he sought from that interview. The important thing, my dear friend, is that you should be completely convinced of what you said, and I truly wish that you had achieved that goal from an interview that unfortunately ended with a result contrary to what it was supposed to achieve. Neither the interview nor the statement clarified who was meant by your esteemed guest regarding those who offend history and its symbols, revealing the difference between true historians and a contradictory historian in his opinions and a falsifier of history. You mixed “the good and the bad,” gathered “the knowledgeable with the ignorant,” and placed them in “one basket,” and thus failed to reach your noble goal. “The difference in reading history is a legitimate right, while rephrasing it according to whims or mixing facts with impressions is another matter that has nothing to do with research or documentation.” Therefore, we all hope that the concerned authorities will pursue these offenders and “prevent the chaos” of information they spread under the guise of masks that defend them and support their lies and fabrications about history and its symbols, especially those who are in the House of Truth.
-In conclusion, my friend, let me be honest with you: “An interview is not just about having a guest in front of a journalist, but a professional responsibility that begins with choosing the interviewer and the questions and ends with the impact it leaves on the audience.” Perhaps the most beautiful thing about your visual talk was “your eyes that do not lie,” as they were the most beautiful, sincere, and noble. As for everything else, as I mentioned earlier, “This is nonsense, Abdul-Mu’ti.”
