نقلت «رويترز» عن مسؤول باكستاني منخرط في المحادثات قوله: إن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي أبلغ الجانب الباكستاني، اليوم السبت ، بمطالب بلاده وتحفظاتها بشأن المفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة.
فك الحصار الأمريكي
وأفصح المسؤول أن عراقجي أبلغ إسلام آباد أن القيادة الإيرانية تتمسك بمسألة فك الحصار الأمريكي عن موانئ البلاد ووقف الهجمات.
وأوضح أن الوزير الإيراني أعلن تحفظ بلاده الكامل على مطالب الجانب الأمريكي. وحسب المسؤول الباكستاني، فإن عراقجي نفى لقائد الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير خلال لقائهما، وجود خلافات أو انقسامات بين قادة إيران، كما نف أن تكون بلاده بصدد البحث عن وسيط آخر.
التمسك بالنود العشرة
فيما أعلن مصدر دبلوماسي إيراني أن وفد بلاده أكد للقيادة الباكستانية تمسكه بالبنود الـ10، وأن طهران مستعدة للتفاوض، لكنها لن تستسلم. وقال: «لن نقبل بالجلوس على طاولة تفاوض تطرح فيها أمريكا خطوطها الحمراء». وشدد على تمسك بلاده برفع الحصار الأمريكي عن الموانئ الإيرانية.
خطة بشأن البرلنامج النووي
في غضون ذلك، كشفت مصادر مطلعة أن إسلام آباد طرحت خطة تشرف بها عدة دول على البرنامج النووي الإيراني. وذكرت أن عراقجي لم يقدم إجابات واضحة أثناء اللقاءات في باكستان. وأفادت المصادر بأنه «لم يتم تحديد أي لقاء مباشر بين عراقجي والأمريكيين حتى الآن».
وكان قائد الجيش الباكستاني عقد اجتماعاً (السبت)، مع عراقجي، الذي وصل إلى إسلام آباد مساء أمس (الجمعة)، رفقة وفد صغير، لعرض وجهة نظره بشأن استئناف المباحثات مع الولايات المتحدة، فيما يتوقع وصول وفد أمريكي يضم المبعوثين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر، في وقت لاحق اليوم.
لاخطط لعقد لقاءات ثنائية
وقال مسؤولان إيرانيان لصحيفة «نيويورك تايمز»، إن عراقجي وصل إلى إسلام آباد حاملاً رداً مكتوباً على المقترح الأمريكي لاتفاق السلام، وأضافا أنه من المتوقع أن يلتقي عراقجي مع ويتكوف وكوشنر.
لكن متحدث الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، أعلن في منشور على منصة «إكس»، أنه لا توجد خطط لعقد لقاء بين إيران والولايات المتحدة في باكستان، وأن طهران ستنقل موقفها عبر مسؤولين باكستانيين.
وكان الرئيس دونالد ترمب، أعلن مساء الجمعة، أن إيران تعتزم تقديم عرض يلبي المطالب الأمريكية، مضيفاً أن إيران ترغب في إجراء محادثات وبحث إمكان التوصل إلى اتفاق. واعتبر ترمب أن المسؤولين الأمريكيين الذين يتفاوضون مع إيران «يتعاملون مع الأشخاص الذين يتولون زمام الأمور الآن».
ونقل موقع «أكسيوس» عن مسؤول باكستاني، قوله إن الاجتماعات المرتقبة مع وزير الخارجية الإيراني ستركّز على إعادة إطلاق المفاوضات مع إدارة دونالد ترمب.
إلغاء محادثات الأسبوع الماضي
وألغيت محادثات الأسبوع الماضي، وسط استمرار الخلافات بين الجانبين، بشأن نقاط رئيسية، من بينها إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز، ومصير مخزون إيران من اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب، ومطلب طهران الإفراج عن نحو 27 مليار دولار من أصولها المجمدة في الخارج.
ورغم رفض إيران علناً إجراء محادثات سلام في ظل الحصار البحري الأمريكي على موانئها، قال المسؤولان الإيرانيان إن طهران كانت تتبادل الرسائل عبر باكستان وتنخرط في جهود دبلوماسية لاستئناف المحادثات.
سيناتور يدو لعودة الضربات
من جانبه، دعا رئيس لجنة القوات المسلحة في مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي السيناتور روجر ويكر، إلى إنهاء المفاوضات مع إيران واستئناف الضربات العسكرية.
وقال النائب الجمهوري في منشور على منصة «إكس»: «انتهى وقت التفاوض مع نظام إيران. لا يمكن أبداً الوثوق بالمتشددين الذين خلفوا المرشد السابق علي خامنئي في الالتزام بأي وعد أو اتفاق».
وطالب الرئيس دونالد ترمب أن يوجه قادته العسكريين لاستكمال تدمير القدرات العسكرية التقليدية لإيران والقضاء على أي بقايا أخيرة من برنامجها النووي. وأكد أن هذا هو السبيل الوحيد لضمان استقرار دائم في المنطقة.
Reuters reported that a Pakistani official involved in the talks stated that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi informed the Pakistani side today, Saturday, of his country’s demands and reservations regarding negotiations with the United States.
Ending the American blockade
The official revealed that Araghchi informed Islamabad that the Iranian leadership insists on the issue of lifting the American blockade on the country’s ports and stopping the attacks.
He clarified that the Iranian minister expressed his country’s complete reservations about the American side’s demands. According to the Pakistani official, Araghchi denied to the Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir during their meeting that there were any disagreements or divisions among Iran’s leaders, and he also denied that his country was seeking another mediator.
Adherence to the ten points
An Iranian diplomatic source announced that his country’s delegation confirmed to the Pakistani leadership its adherence to the ten points, and that Tehran is ready to negotiate, but it will not surrender. He stated, “We will not accept sitting at a negotiation table where the U.S. presents its red lines.” He emphasized his country’s insistence on lifting the American blockade on Iranian ports.
A plan regarding the nuclear program
Meanwhile, informed sources revealed that Islamabad proposed a plan involving several countries overseeing the Iranian nuclear program. They mentioned that Araghchi did not provide clear answers during the meetings in Pakistan. The sources indicated that “no direct meeting between Araghchi and the Americans has been scheduled so far.”
The Pakistani Army Chief held a meeting (on Saturday) with Araghchi, who arrived in Islamabad last night (Friday) with a small delegation to present his views on resuming talks with the United States, while an American delegation including envoys Steve Biegun and Jared Kushner is expected to arrive later today.
No plans for bilateral meetings
Two Iranian officials told the New York Times that Araghchi arrived in Islamabad carrying a written response to the American proposal for a peace agreement, adding that Araghchi is expected to meet with Biegun and Kushner.
However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei announced in a post on the X platform that there are no plans for a meeting between Iran and the United States in Pakistan, and that Tehran will convey its position through Pakistani officials.
President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening that Iran intends to make an offer that meets American demands, adding that Iran wants to hold talks and explore the possibility of reaching an agreement. Trump considered that the American officials negotiating with Iran “are dealing with the people who are in charge now.”
The Axios website quoted a Pakistani official as saying that the upcoming meetings with the Iranian Foreign Minister will focus on relaunching negotiations with the Trump administration.
Cancellation of last week’s talks
Last week’s talks were canceled amid ongoing disagreements between the two sides over key points, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the fate of Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium, and Tehran’s demand for the release of about $27 billion of its frozen assets abroad.
Despite Iran’s public rejection of holding peace talks under the American maritime blockade on its ports, the two Iranian officials stated that Tehran had been exchanging messages through Pakistan and engaging in diplomatic efforts to resume talks.
Senator calls for resuming strikes
For his part, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Roger Wicker, called for ending negotiations with Iran and resuming military strikes.
The Republican congressman stated in a post on the X platform: “The time for negotiating with the Iranian regime is over. One can never trust the hardliners who succeeded the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to adhere to any promise or agreement.”
President Donald Trump called on his military leaders to complete the destruction of Iran’s conventional military capabilities and eliminate any remnants of its nuclear program. He emphasized that this is the only way to ensure lasting stability in the region.
