أعلن وزير الخارجية الباكستاني محمد إسحق دار، اليوم (الجمعة)، أن بلاده نجحت في إعادة 11 مواطناً إلى جانب 20 إيرانياً كانوا على متن سفن احتجزتها الولايات المتحدة في أعالي البحار.
وأفاد دار على منصة «إكس»، بأن العملية تمت عبر سنغافورة، لافتا إلى أن المواطنين الباكستانيين والإيرانيين وصلوا جميعاً إلى بانكوك قادمين من سنغافورة، وهم الآن على متن رحلة من المنتظر وصولها إلى إسلام آباد هذه الليلة. وأكد أنه سيتم في وقت لاحق تسهيل عودة الإيرانيين إلى وطنهم.
من جانبه، كشف المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس، أنه أجرى اتصالاً جيداً بالرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب وهو في طريق عودته من الصين إلى واشنطن.
وأضاف ميرتس في منشور على منصة «إكس»، أنه اتفق مع ترمب على ضرورة أن تجلس إيران على مائدة المفاوضات الآن، معتبراً أنه ينبغي لإيران فتح مضيق هرمز، ويجب منعها من امتلاك أسلحة نووية.
وذكر ميرتس أنه ناقش مع ترمب حلاً سلمياً لحرب أوكرانيا، بالإضافة إلى تنسيق المواقف قبل قمة حلف شمال الأطلسي «الناتو» القادمة في أنقرة.
وشهد مضيق هرمز، زيادة تدريجية في حركة الملاحة، بعدما تسبب إغلاقه منذ بدء حرب إيران في نهاية فبراير الماضي، في اضطرابات حادة في أسواق الطاقة العالمية ونقص في الإمدادات، فيما قال الرئيس ترمب إن الصين عرضت «المساعدة» في دعم المفاوضات مع طهران للتوسط إلى اتفاق ينهي الحرب في المنطقة، حسب ما مقلت وكالة «بلومبيرغ».
ونقل التلفزيون الإيراني الرسمي عن مسؤول في بحرية الحرس الثوري، أمس (الخميس)، أن أكثر من 30 سفينة سمح لها بالعبور منذ مساء الأربعاء.
وأوردت وكالة «فارس» الإيرانية شبه الرسمية، أن عدداً من السفن الصينية عبرت المضيق بعد مشاورات مع الخارجية الصينية، وأضافت نقلاً عن مصدر لم تسمه أن عملية العبور ستتم وفق «بروتوكولات الإدارة الإيرانية».
The Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar announced today (Friday) that his country successfully repatriated 11 citizens along with 20 Iranians who were on board ships detained by the United States in international waters.
Dar stated on the platform “X” that the operation was conducted via Singapore, noting that the Pakistani and Iranian citizens all arrived in Bangkok from Singapore, and they are now on a flight expected to arrive in Islamabad tonight. He confirmed that the return of the Iranians to their homeland will be facilitated later.
For his part, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz revealed that he had a good conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump while returning from China to Washington.
Merz added in a post on the “X” platform that he and Trump agreed on the necessity for Iran to sit at the negotiating table now, considering that Iran should open the Strait of Hormuz and must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Merz mentioned that he discussed with Trump a peaceful solution to the Ukraine war, in addition to coordinating positions ahead of the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara.
The Strait of Hormuz has witnessed a gradual increase in maritime traffic after its closure since the beginning of the Iran war in late February, which caused severe disruptions in global energy markets and a shortage of supplies. President Trump stated that China offered “assistance” in supporting negotiations with Tehran to mediate an agreement to end the war in the region, according to what was reported by Bloomberg News.
The Iranian state television reported yesterday (Thursday) that a Revolutionary Guard naval official stated that more than 30 ships were allowed to pass since Wednesday evening.
The semi-official Iranian news agency Fars reported that a number of Chinese ships crossed the strait after consultations with the Chinese Foreign Ministry, adding, citing an unnamed source, that the crossing will take place according to “Iranian management protocols.”
