لم يتبادر إلى مخيلة زبائن أن زيارة عادية لعربة معجنات في منتصف الليل ستتحول إلى قضية رأي عام تشعل تركيا بأكملها. ففي إزمير، اصطدموا بفاتورة فلكية تخطت 7 آلاف ليرة تركية، ما دفع السلطات إلى التحرك الفوري، بينما حاول البائع تبرير فعلته بطريقة زادت القصة إثارة.
وأعلنت وزارة التجارة فتح تحقيق عاجل في الواقعة التي بررها البائع باران أكجاكالي بأن «مجموعة كبيرة تضم أكثر من 50 شخصاً، بينهم مشاهير على منصات التواصل، قدموا إلى عربته في وقت متأخر من الليل، نحو 2:30 صباحاً، أثناء بث مباشر».
وقال البائع إن «المجموعة طلبت كميات كبيرة جداً من الطعام، نحو 100 قطعة من المعجنات والمشروبات، وأصرت أن يسجل حساباً تقديرياً بزيادة».
وأضاف: «وعدوني بأنهم سيتكفلون بالدفع كاملاً، ليبلغ المبلغ الإجمالي 7,600 ليرة تركية، تم تسديد 6,900 ليرة منه عبر جهاز الدفع الإلكتروني».
وتابع: «المجموعة غادرت راضية، لكنها عادت لاحقاً ونشرت ادعاءات تتهمني فيها بالاستغلال من خلال الأسعار المبالغ فيها».
وأكدت فِرق التفتيش التابعة لوزارة التجارة أنها «اتخذت إجراءات صارمة لضمان حماية المستهلك، حيث تم تحرير محضر «تثبيت سعر غير عادل» بحق المنشأة، فضلاً عن طلب فواتير البيع والشراء كافة للتدقيق».
واكتشفت فِرق التفتيش أن العربة لا تعرض أي قائمة أسعار أو ملصقات توضيحية للمنتجات، ولهذا السبب تم فرض غرامة إدارية فورية على البائع بقيمة 47 ألفاً و490 ليرة تركية لانتهاكه قانون حماية المستهلك.
وشددت الوزارة في بيانها على أنها «سوف تستمر في عمليات التفتيش الدقيقة لمنع الممارسات غير العادلة وضمان حماية حقوق المستهلكين والتجار الشرفاء على حد سواء».
It did not occur to customers that a regular visit to a pastry cart in the middle of the night would turn into a public issue that ignites all of Turkey. In Izmir, they were confronted with an astronomical bill exceeding 7,000 Turkish lira, prompting the authorities to take immediate action, while the seller tried to justify his actions in a way that added to the excitement of the story.
The Ministry of Commerce announced the opening of an urgent investigation into the incident, which the seller, Baran Akcakali, justified by stating that “a large group of more than 50 people, including celebrities on social media, came to his cart late at night, around 2:30 AM, during a live broadcast.”
The seller said that “the group ordered very large quantities of food, about 100 pieces of pastries and drinks, and insisted that an inflated estimate be recorded.”
He added: “They promised me that they would cover the full payment, bringing the total amount to 7,600 Turkish lira, of which 6,900 lira was paid through the electronic payment device.”
He continued: “The group left satisfied, but they later returned and published allegations accusing me of exploitation through inflated prices.”
Inspection teams from the Ministry of Commerce confirmed that they “took strict measures to ensure consumer protection, as a report for ‘unfair pricing’ was filed against the establishment, in addition to requesting all sales and purchase invoices for auditing.”
The inspection teams discovered that the cart did not display any price list or explanatory labels for the products, which is why an immediate administrative fine of 47,490 Turkish lira was imposed on the seller for violating consumer protection laws.
The ministry emphasized in its statement that it “will continue rigorous inspection operations to prevent unfair practices and ensure the protection of the rights of consumers and honest traders alike.”
