لم يكن «القعقاع اليمني» مجرد شاب يتسلق منحدرات «حرضة دمت» البركانية، بل كان جزءاً من المشهد الذي اعتاد الزوار مشاهدته في واحدة من أشهر الوجهات الطبيعية بمحافظة الضالع.. سنوات طويلة أمضاها وهو يهبط إلى أعماق الفوهة ويعود منها، حابساً أنفاس الحاضرين ومثيراً دهشتهم في كل مرة، قبل أن تنتهي رحلته بالسقوط إلى الموت في المشهد الأخير من مغامرة لازمته سنوات
كان «القعقاع» يكتب أسماء الزوار على جدران الحرضة مقابل مبالغ بسيطة، في أماكن يصعب الوصول إليها.. بقيت الأسماء شاهدة على مغامراته، فيما غاب صاحب الخط نفسه إلى الأبد، تاركاً خلفه قصة امتزج فيها الشغف بالخطر، وانتهت بمأساة هزت اليمنيين.
البطل الذي لم يتوقف
اعتاد الزوار مشاهدة عروض «القعقاع» اليومية على حافة الموت، وهو يتنقل بين الصخور والمنحدرات بخفة لافتة، حتى أصبح جزءاً من هوية المكان. ومع مرور السنوات، تحول «القعقاع» إلى وجه معروف لكل من قصد الحرضة الكبريتية، غير أن اعتياده على الخطر لم يمنع النهاية التي كان الجميع يخشونها.
ورغم التحذيرات المتكررة من خطورة ما يقوم به، واصل مغامراته اليومية، مدفوعاً بشغفه بـ«الهواية – المهنة» التي صنعت شهرته وجعلته أحد أبرز الوجوه المرتبطة بالموقع السياحي.
من بطل إلى «ترند»
بعد رحيله، تحولت قصته إلى مادة واسعة التداول على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وتسابق صناع المحتوى على إعادة نشر مقاطع مغامراته ورواية تفاصيل حياته، في سباق لحصد المشاهدات والتفاعل.
المفارقة أن الرجل الذي كان يصنع محتواه الحقيقي أمام آلاف الزوار لم يتمكن من جني ثمار شهرته الرقمية، بينما حقق آخرون ملايين المشاهدات من خلال مقاطع صُورت له خلال مغامراته اليومية.
أحلام لم تكتمل
وبحسب مقربين منه، كان «القعقاع» يسعى للاستفادة من شهرته عبر إنشاء محتوى رقمي وتحقيق دخل من منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، كما كان يبحث عن وسائل لتطوير الموقع وتحسين الخدمات فيه، أملاً في تحويل شهرته إلى مصدر رزق أكثر استقراراً.
وتشير مراسلات متداولة إلى أنه كان يستفسر عن آليات تحقيق الأرباح من المحتوى المنشور على منصات التواصل، إلا أن تلك الأحلام توقفت فجأة مع رحلته الأخيرة.
عاشق الاتحاد
بعيداً عن المغامرات الخطرة، كان لـ«القعقاع» حلم آخر ارتبط بكرة القدم. فقد بدأ مشواره حارساً للمرمى في فريق قريته بمديرية دمت، وكان معروفاً بين أصدقائه بعشقه لنادي الاتحاد السعودي ومتابعته المستمرة لأخباره.
لكن الظروف التي مر بها اليمن وتوقف كثير من الأنشطة الرياضية دفعت به بعيداً عن الملاعب، ليتجه إلى طريق مختلف تماماً، انتهى به إلى أن يصبح أشهر متسلق لفوهة بركانية في المنطقة.
قارورة عطر
وحاول «القعقاع» خوض تجربة الإعلانات التجارية عبر حساباته في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، أملاً في تحسين دخله المعيشي، إلا أن محاولاته بقيت محدودة ولم تحقق العائد الذي كان يطمح إليه.
ويروي مقربون منه أن أحد الإعلانات التي قدمها لمحل عطور محلي لم تدر عليه سوى قارورة عطر، في مشهد يلخص الفجوة الكبيرة بين شهرته الواسعة وما كان يجنيه فعلياً من تلك الشهرة.
رحل «القعقاع»، وبقيت أسماء خطها بيده خلال سنوات طويلة على جدران الحرضة. أما قصته، فستبقى محفورة في ذاكرة من شاهدوا مغامراته، في المكان الذي منحه الشهرة وأخذ حياته في النهاية.
The “Yemeni Qaqaa” was not just a young man climbing the slopes of “Hardha Damt,” but he was part of the scene that visitors had come to witness in one of the most famous natural destinations in Al-Dhale’e Governorate. He spent many years descending into the depths of the crater and returning, holding the breath of those present and astonishing them each time, before his journey ended in a fatal fall in the final scene of an adventure that accompanied him for years.
The “Qaqaa” would write the names of visitors on the walls of the Hardha in exchange for small amounts of money, in places that were difficult to reach. The names remained as a testament to his adventures, while the owner of the handwriting himself vanished forever, leaving behind a story where passion intertwined with danger, ending in a tragedy that shook the Yemenis.
The Hero Who Never Stopped
Visitors were accustomed to watching “Qaqaa’s” daily performances on the edge of death, as he moved between rocks and slopes with remarkable agility, until he became part of the identity of the place. Over the years, “Qaqaa” turned into a well-known figure for anyone who visited the sulfur Hardha, yet his familiarity with danger did not prevent the end that everyone feared.
Despite repeated warnings about the dangers of what he was doing, he continued his daily adventures, driven by his passion for the “hobby – profession” that made him famous and one of the most prominent faces associated with the tourist site.
From Hero to “Trend”
After his departure, his story became widely circulated on social media platforms, with content creators racing to repost clips of his adventures and narrate details of his life, in a competition for views and engagement.
The irony is that the man who created his real content in front of thousands of visitors could not reap the benefits of his digital fame, while others achieved millions of views from clips filmed during his daily adventures.
Unfulfilled Dreams
According to those close to him, “Qaqaa” sought to benefit from his fame by creating digital content and generating income from social media platforms. He was also looking for ways to develop the site and improve services there, hoping to turn his fame into a more stable source of livelihood.
Exchanged correspondence indicates that he was inquiring about ways to profit from content published on social media, but those dreams abruptly ended with his last journey.
A Lover of Al-Ittihad
Away from dangerous adventures, “Qaqaa” had another dream related to football. He began his journey as a goalkeeper for his village team in Damt District and was known among his friends for his love of the Saudi Al-Ittihad Club and his continuous following of its news.
However, the circumstances Yemen went through and the halt of many sports activities pushed him far from the fields, leading him down a completely different path, which ultimately made him the most famous climber of a volcanic crater in the region.
A Bottle of Perfume
“Qaqaa” attempted to venture into commercial advertising through his social media accounts, hoping to improve his living income, but his attempts remained limited and did not yield the returns he aspired to.
Those close to him recount that one of the advertisements he presented for a local perfume shop only earned him a bottle of perfume, in a scene that summarizes the vast gap between his wide fame and what he actually earned from that fame.
Qaqaa passed away, but the names he inscribed by hand over many years remain on the walls of the Hardha. As for his story, it will remain etched in the memory of those who witnessed his adventures, in the place that granted him fame and ultimately took his life.
