استكملت مجموعة stc، ممكّن التحول الرقمي، جاهزيتها لموسم حج 1447هـ، عبر تنفيذ خطة تشغيلية متكاملة تهدف إلى تعزيز كفاءة الشبكة وتوسيع نطاق التغطية في مكة المكرّمة والمدينة المنوّرة. وشملت هذه الجهود إجراء تحسينات على البنية التحتية وتبني مجموعة من أحدث التقنيات والحلول الذكية، بما يضمن توفير تجربة اتصال موثوقة وآمنة تخدّم احتياجات ضيوف الرحمن القادمين من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
وتضمنت استعدادات stc تنفيذ 450 عملية توسعة للشبكة، ليصل عدد المواقع الخارجية إلى أكثر من 1100 موقع، بالإضافة إلى نشر أكثر من 3 آلاف نقطة نفاذ لشبكات «واي فاي»، بما يسهم في رفع الطاقة الاستيعابية وتحسين جودة الخدمة. وبهدف تحسين جودة التغطية الداخلية، قامت المجموعة بتنفيذ 36 عملية توسعة للشبكات الداخلية، من ضمنها تشغيل 29 موقعاً جديداً ليصل العدد الإجمالي إلى أكثر من 400 موقع داخلي في مكة والمشاعر المقدسة. كما قامت المجموعة بنشر أكثر من 8900 هوائي داخل المباني والمواقع الحيوية لضمان توفير خدمات اتصالات موثوقة للحجاج خلال أداء المناسك.
وبهدف مواكبة النمو المتوقع في حركة البيانات، عززت stc مستويات الدعم اللوجستي للعمليات التشغيلية من خلال نشر 90 مركز صيانة في الأماكن المقدسة، بالإضافة إلى تواجد أكثر من 550 فرداً من الكوادر الميدانية المدربة في أهم المواقع الحيوية، وذلك بهدف تعزيز مستويات الاستجابة والدعم السريع في حالات الأعطال والطوارئ وضمان استمرارية الخدمة على مدار الساعة.
وكانت stc قد أجرت بنجاح عدداً من اختبارات الجاهزية لجميع المواقع التشغيلية في المشاعر المقدسة وفق إستراتيجية متكاملة لإدارة حركة البيانات تواكب أفضل الممارسات العالمية المعتمدة. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، نشرت المجموعة أنظمة متطورة لإدارة ومراقبة أداء الشبكة بالاعتماد على حلول التشغيل الذاتي، مع توظيف التقنيات المتقدمة لضبط الأحمال وتحسين كفاءة الشبكة خلال أوقات الذروة.
وفي إطار جهودها لتعزيز الربط الدولي، توفر المجموعة خدمةInternational IP VPN التي تربط المواقع المحلية بنظيراتها الدولية عبر شبكة خاصة عالية السرعة، بما يضمن توفير خدمات اتصال آمنة وموثوقة تدعم عمليات تفويج الحجاج عبر المنافذ الدولية، وتشغيل الشبكة بكفاءة وأمان على مستوى جميع المواقع حول العالم. كما عززت المجموعة منظومة الحماية الرقمية للأنظمة الأساسية والتطبيقات المخصصة للحج، مع تفعيل خطة الاستجابة القصوى، وتكثيف أعداد الكوادر الوطنية المتخصصة لضمان الرصد الفوري. كما وظّفت المجموعة العديد من التقنيات المتقدمة للتنبؤ بالمخاطر، فضلاً عن تأمين مواقع شبكة النفاذ (RAN). وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، قامت بتأمين الاتصال المركزي لتقنيات إنترنت الأشياء وأنظمة المراقبة المرئية وبوابات التعرف على الهوية البيومترية في منافذ دخول الحجاج.

The stc group, a digital transformation enabler, has completed its preparations for the Hajj season of 1447 AH by implementing a comprehensive operational plan aimed at enhancing network efficiency and expanding coverage in Mecca and Medina. These efforts included infrastructure improvements and the adoption of a range of the latest technologies and smart solutions, ensuring a reliable and secure communication experience that serves the needs of the guests of Allah coming from various parts of the world.
Among stc’s preparations were the execution of 450 network expansion operations, bringing the number of external sites to over 1,100, in addition to deploying more than 3,000 Wi-Fi access points, which contributes to increasing capacity and improving service quality. To enhance the quality of indoor coverage, the group carried out 36 internal network expansion operations, including the activation of 29 new sites, raising the total number to over 400 indoor locations in Mecca and the holy sites. The group also deployed more than 8,900 antennas inside buildings and vital locations to ensure reliable communication services for pilgrims during their rituals.
To keep pace with the expected growth in data traffic, stc has strengthened logistical support levels for operational activities by deploying 90 maintenance centers in the holy places, in addition to having more than 550 trained field personnel present at key vital locations, aimed at enhancing response levels and rapid support in case of malfunctions and emergencies, ensuring service continuity around the clock.
stc successfully conducted a number of readiness tests for all operational sites in the holy sites according to a comprehensive data traffic management strategy that aligns with the best global practices. Additionally, the group deployed advanced systems for managing and monitoring network performance based on self-operating solutions, employing advanced technologies to manage loads and improve network efficiency during peak times.
As part of its efforts to enhance international connectivity, the group provides the International IP VPN service that connects local sites with their international counterparts via a high-speed private network, ensuring secure and reliable communication services that support the movement of pilgrims through international gateways, and operating the network efficiently and securely across all locations worldwide. The group has also enhanced the digital protection system for the core systems and applications dedicated to Hajj, activating the maximum response plan, and increasing the number of specialized national personnel to ensure immediate monitoring. Furthermore, the group employed several advanced technologies to predict risks, as well as securing the Radio Access Network (RAN) sites. Additionally, it secured central connectivity for Internet of Things technologies, visual monitoring systems, and biometric identification gateways at the entry points for pilgrims.
These efforts reflect stc’s commitment to facilitating pilgrims’ communication with their families and loved ones with ease and convenience, in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to provide an exceptional Hajj experience for the guests of Allah during their spiritual journey.
