The head coach of the Al-Qadsiah football team, Irishman Brendan Rodgers, praised his players’ efforts following their victory over Abha with a score of two goals to one, emphasizing the importance of the result after a long week and the team’s trip to Uzbekistan to face Pakhtakor in the AFC Champions League.
Rodgers said during the press conference: “We started the match excellently, scored a goal, and we could have added a second. In the second half, we came out strong and cohesive, and Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat succeeded in scoring the second goal. I commend the starting players and substitutes for their efforts against a team that fights until the end.”
He explained that the short recovery time and the heat contributed to the players’ fatigue, noting that resting Julian was part of the rotation policy, and that the team will focus on recovery in collaboration with the medical staff in preparation for the upcoming matches against Al-Taawoun and Al-Hilal next week.
Rodgers concluded by praising Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat: “We see a clear improvement in his level and scoring record, and he is delivering outstanding performances with even more room for development. We have challenges that we continue to work on, and the most important thing is to keep winning and achieving positive results.”
