بعد ساعات من تصعيد خطير في لبنان أثار المخاوف بشأن الاتفاق الأمريكي الإيراني، نقلت وكالة «رويترز» عن مسؤول أمريكي كبير قوله، إن إسرائيل وحزب الله اتفقا على وقف إطلاق النار بداية من الساعة الرابعة مساء الجمعة، بالتوقيت المحلي. وأفاد المسؤول بأن المفاوضين الأمريكيين والقطريين توسطوا في الاتفاق بمساعدة من إيران.
وقال «علمنا أنه بعد تبادل إطلاق النار في وقت سابق الجمعة، دخلت إسرائيل وحزب الله في وقف لإطلاق النار».
ونقلت شبكة CNN عن مصدر مطلع قوله إن الولايات المتحدة أبلغت إيران أن إسرائيل لا تعتزم تصعيد عملياتها العسكرية في لبنان، في إطار مساعي إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب لإعادة المحادثات النووية مع طهران إلى مسارها.
وقال المصدر إن واشنطن أوضحت للإيرانيين أن «حزب الله انتهك وقف إطلاق النار، لكن إسرائيل وافقت على عدم المضي في التصعيد»، مضيفاً أن هذه الرسالة نُقلت إلى طهران، وأن «الأمر بات متوقفاً على حزب الله لوقف هجماته».
واعتبر المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، أن الولايات المتحدة تتحمل المسؤولية المباشرة عن الهجمات الإسرائيلية على لبنان. وأضاف بقائي أن «الهجمات الإسرائيلية على لبنان سيكون لها عواقب على الأمن الإقليمي».
من جانبه، أكد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أن الولايات المتحدة لم تدخل في المفاوضات مع إيران بدافع «اليأس»، معتبراً أن طهران هي الطرف الذي اضطر إلى فعل ذلك لأن «أمرهم انتهى».
وفي منشور على منصة «تروث سوشيال»، قال ترمب: «سنمضي حتى نهاية مهلة الستين يوماً، لن يحصلوا على أي أموال، ولا حتى عشرة سنتات». وجدد ترمب التأكيد على أن «الحرب أضعفت إيران»، مضيفاً: «لم يعد لديها، بعد الآن، سلاح جو، أو بحرية، أو منظومات دفاع جوي، أو رادارات، أو عملياً أي شيء آخر».
وأضاف في منشور على منصة «تروث سوشيال»: «ومع ذلك، يقول الديمقراطيون إن إيران أصبحت اليوم في وضع أفضل مما كانت عليه قبل أربعة أشهر».
وشنت إسرائيل، الجمعة، موجة من الغارات على مناطق عدة في لبنان، وقالت إن أربعة جنود إسرائيليين سقطوا في جنوب لبنان، رغم أن مذكرة التفاهم الأمريكية الإيرانية تنص على إنهاء الأعمال القتالية على جميع الجبهات.
وفي المقابل، تطالب إيران بضمانات بوقف القتال في لبنان قبل استئناف المحادثات المقررة في سويسرا مع نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس ومسؤولين آخرين، والتي كانت مقررة الجمعة قبل إلغائها.
After hours of serious escalation in Lebanon that raised concerns about the U.S.-Iran agreement, Reuters reported a senior U.S. official saying that Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire starting at 4 PM local time on Friday. The official stated that U.S. and Qatari negotiators mediated the agreement with assistance from Iran.
He said, “We learned that after the exchange of fire earlier on Friday, Israel and Hezbollah entered into a ceasefire.”
CNN reported from a knowledgeable source that the United States informed Iran that Israel does not intend to escalate its military operations in Lebanon, as part of President Donald Trump’s administration’s efforts to get nuclear talks with Tehran back on track.
The source stated that Washington made it clear to the Iranians that “Hezbollah violated the ceasefire, but Israel agreed not to proceed with escalation,” adding that this message was conveyed to Tehran, and that “it is now up to Hezbollah to stop its attacks.”
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei considered that the United States bears direct responsibility for the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Baqaei added that “the Israeli attacks on Lebanon will have consequences for regional security.”
For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States did not enter negotiations with Iran out of “desperation,” considering that Tehran is the party that was forced to do so because “their time is up.”
In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, Trump said, “We will go until the end of the sixty-day deadline; they will not get any money, not even ten cents.” Trump reiterated that “the war has weakened Iran,” adding, “They no longer have an air force, navy, air defense systems, radars, or practically anything else.”
He added in a post on the “Truth Social” platform: “Yet, the Democrats say that Iran is now in a better position than it was four months ago.”
On Friday, Israel launched a wave of airstrikes on several areas in Lebanon, stating that four Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon, despite the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding stipulating an end to hostilities on all fronts.
In return, Iran is demanding guarantees to stop the fighting in Lebanon before resuming scheduled talks in Switzerland with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and other officials, which were set for Friday before being canceled.
