تشارك مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية في جناح المملكة العربية السعودية المشارك بمعرض كوالالمبور الدولي للكتاب 2026، مستعرضة باقة متميزة من إصداراتها الثقافية والمعرفية التي تهدف إلى تعريف الزوار بالإنتاج الفكري السعودي، وإبراز دور المكتبة الريادي في حفظ الموروث المعرفي الوطني وتوثيقه وخدمة الباحثين والدارسين، وذلك في ظل الحضور السعودي المكثف الذي تقوده هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة بمناسبة اختيار المملكة ضيف شرف المعرض.
وتضم الإصدارات المعروضة في الجناح عناوين نوعية تحظى باهتمام الأوساط الأكاديمية، من بينها كتاب «الكتاب السعودي خارج الحدود» الذي يتناول حضور المؤلفات السعودية في المحافل العالمية، وكتاب «الإنتاج الفكري العربي في مجال المكتبات والمعلومات»، إلى جانب كتاب «مكتبة مكة المكرمة قديماً وحديثاً»، وكتاب «عبدالله بن خميس ناثراً» الذي يسلط الضوء على التجربة الأدبية للأديب والمؤرخ السعودي الراحل، إضافة إلى مجموعة متنوعة من المصنفات الثقافية.
كما يتيح ركن المكتبة لزوار المعرض تجربة معرفية بصرية من خلال شاشة تفاعلية تعرض صوراً تاريخية ونادرة مستوحاة من الأرشيف الوطني، تشمل الزيارات الرسمية المتبادلة بين المملكة وماليزيا، ومشاهد حية للحرمين الشريفين والدرعية التاريخية، لتعكس نمط الحياة ووسائل المواصلات القديمة في المملكة.
وقد شهد ركن المكتبة إقبالاً لافتاً من قِبل الباحثين والجمهور، لما تتضمنه هذه الإصدارات من قيمة توثيقية ترصد جوانب مختلفة من الثقافة السعودية وحركتها الفكرية المتطورة عبر العقود.
The King Fahd National Library is participating in the Saudi Arabia pavilion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2026, showcasing a distinguished collection of its cultural and intellectual publications aimed at introducing visitors to Saudi intellectual production and highlighting the library’s pioneering role in preserving and documenting the national knowledge heritage and serving researchers and students. This participation comes amidst a strong Saudi presence led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission on the occasion of the Kingdom being chosen as the guest of honor at the fair.
The displayed publications in the pavilion include quality titles that attract the interest of academic circles, including the book “Saudi Books Beyond Borders,” which discusses the presence of Saudi authors in global forums, and the book “Arab Intellectual Production in the Field of Libraries and Information,” along with the book “The Library of Mecca: Past and Present,” and the book “Abdullah bin Khamis: A Narrator,” which highlights the literary experience of the late Saudi writer and historian, in addition to a diverse collection of cultural works.
The library corner also offers fair visitors a visual knowledge experience through an interactive screen displaying historical and rare images inspired by the national archive, including official visits exchanged between the Kingdom and Malaysia, and live scenes of the holy mosques and the historical Diriyah, reflecting the lifestyle and old means of transportation in the Kingdom.
The library corner has witnessed significant interest from researchers and the public, due to the documentary value of these publications that capture various aspects of Saudi culture and its evolving intellectual movement over the decades.
