عدّت رئيسة مجلس إدارة جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين الدكتورة منال الرويشد؛ تأسيس الجمعية، نقلةً نوعية و مرحلة جديدة في مسيرة التشكيل السعودي، بما يحمله من تاريخ فني وتجارب إبداعية ، أسهمت في تشكيل الوعي الجمالي وإثراء المشهد الثقافي، مشيرة إلى أن ما تحقق من منجزات يستدعي حضورًا مؤسسيًا يستوعب تطلعات الفنانين، ويمنح تجاربهم فرصًا أوسع للنمو والانتاج والاستثمار والاستمرار.
و أكدت لـ( عكاظ) ؛ أن الفنان أساس التنمية الفنية، وأن رعاية موهبته ؛ تتطلب منظومة مهنية متكاملة تحفظ حقوقه، وتنمي قدراته، وتدعم استقلال تجربته الإبداعية. وتطلّعت إلى أن تكون الجمعية مرجعًا متخصصاً للفنانين، ومساحة للتعاون وتبادل الخبرات، وشريكًا في صناعة الفرص التي تتيح للمبدع السعودي حضورًا فاعلًا في المشهد الثقافي والاقتصادي.
وأوضحت ؛ أن الجمعية ستعمل على تطوير المسارات المهنية والتأهيلية، ودعم ريادة الأعمال والمشروعات الفنية، وتوفير فرص الإنتاج والتسويق والاستثمار، إلى جانب العناية بالملكية الفكرية والحقوق المهنية، ورفع الجاهزية الرقمية للفنانين، والاستفادة المسؤولة من تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في الممارسات الإبداعية، ولفتت إلى أن من أولويات الجمعية ؛ بناء شراكات فاعلة مع المؤسسات الثقافية والأكاديمية والقطاعات ذات العلاقة، وإطلاق برامج ومبادرات تستجيب لاحتياجات الفنانين في مختلف مناطق المملكة، وتسهم في توسيع مجالات المعرفة والتجريب والتبادل الفني.
وأضافت؛ طموحنا أن تتجاوز الجمعية حدود البرامج والأنشطة إلى بناء أثر مؤسسي مستدام، تكون فيه حقوق الفنان مصونة، وفرصه المهنية متنامية، وتجربته الإبداعية حاضرة في مسارات التنمية. كون مستقبل التشكيل السعودي يرتبط بقدرتنا على تحويل ما نملكه من خبرات وطاقات فنية إلى قيمة ثقافية واقتصادية تسهم في صناعة المستقبل.
وأعربت عن تقديرها لجهود المؤسسين،وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة، مؤكدة أن ما يجمعهم من خبرات أكاديمية وفنية وثقافية يضع أمامهم مسؤولية مهنية تستوجب العمل المشترك، وتوظيف هذا التنوع المعرفي في خدمة الفنانين وتطلعاتهم.
وكان المركز الوطني لتنمية القطاع غير الربحي، صرّح في وقت سابق؛جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين، ومقرها الرئيس مدينة الرياض، لتضاف إلى منظومة الجمعيات الثقافية المتخصصة في المملكة، في خطوة تستهدف تنمية الحركة التشكيلية، ورعاية الفنانين والفنانات، وتطوير الممارسة المهنية، وفتح آفاق جديدة للاستثمار في الفنون البصرية.
وتتولى رئاسة مجلس إدارة الجمعية الدكتورة منال الرويشد، و نائبتهافتون الغامدي ، وعضوية الدكتورة مسعودة قربان، و منيرة السليم، و نادية الصقعبي، والمهندس عبدالله العتيبي، و زهرة الحازمي. فيما تضم قائمة المؤسسين الدكتورة تبرة خصيفان، والدكتور خالد الغازى، والدكتورة تهاني العريفي، و حصة بن زامل، و علي اللغبي، و هلا العنزي، و شيخة الحبابي.
The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Visual Artists, Dr. Manal Al-Ruwaished, considered the establishment of the association a qualitative leap and a new phase in the journey of Saudi art, with its rich artistic history and creative experiences that have contributed to shaping aesthetic awareness and enriching the cultural scene. She pointed out that the achievements made call for an institutional presence that accommodates the aspirations of artists and provides their experiences with broader opportunities for growth, production, investment, and sustainability.
She confirmed to (Okaz) that the artist is the foundation of artistic development, and that nurturing their talent requires a comprehensive professional system that safeguards their rights, enhances their abilities, and supports the independence of their creative experience. She looked forward to the association becoming a specialized reference for artists, a space for collaboration and exchange of experiences, and a partner in creating opportunities that allow Saudi creatives to have an active presence in the cultural and economic scene.
She clarified that the association will work on developing professional and qualification pathways, supporting entrepreneurship and artistic projects, providing opportunities for production, marketing, and investment, in addition to caring for intellectual property and professional rights, enhancing the digital readiness of artists, and responsibly utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in creative practices. She noted that one of the association’s priorities is to build effective partnerships with cultural and academic institutions and related sectors, and to launch programs and initiatives that respond to the needs of artists in various regions of the Kingdom, contributing to expanding fields of knowledge, experimentation, and artistic exchange.
She added that our ambition is for the association to go beyond programs and activities to build a sustainable institutional impact, where the rights of the artist are protected, their professional opportunities are growing, and their creative experience is present in development pathways. The future of Saudi art is linked to our ability to transform the artistic experiences and energies we possess into cultural and economic value that contributes to shaping the future.
She expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the founders and the board members, emphasizing that the academic, artistic, and cultural experiences that unite them place a professional responsibility on them that necessitates collaborative work and utilizing this knowledge diversity to serve artists and their aspirations.
The National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector previously announced the establishment of the Association of Visual Artists, headquartered in Riyadh, to be added to the system of specialized cultural associations in the Kingdom, in a step aimed at developing the visual arts movement, nurturing artists, and enhancing professional practice, while opening new horizons for investment in the visual arts.
The Board of Directors of the association is chaired by Dr. Manal Al-Ruwaished, with her deputy Fatoun Al-Ghamdi, and members Dr. Masouda Qurban, Munira Al-Saleem, Nadia Al-Saqabi, Engineer Abdullah Al-Otaibi, and Zahra Al-Hazmi. The list of founders includes Dr. Tabra Khosifan, Dr. Khalid Al-Ghazi, Dr. Tahani Al-Arefi, Hissa bin Zamel, Ali Al-Lughbi, Hala Al-Anzi, and Sheikha Al-Habbabi.
