تسببت موجة حرّ جديدة اجتاحت معظم أنحاء فرنسا، اليوم، بإلغاء عشرات رحلات القطارات وتعديل ساعات الدوام في المدارس أو إلغاء الصفوف بالكامل، فيما يتوقع أن تصل درجة الحرارة إلى 40 درجة مئوية في الأيام القليلة القادمة.
ورغم أن فصل الصيف لا يبدأ رسمياً قبل الأحد، إلا أن هذه الموجة هي الثانية التي تضرب فرنسا في 2026 بعد أيام ارتفعت فيها الحرارة إلى مستويات قياسية الشهر الماضي في نصف مناطق البلاد.
وأُعلن مستوى إنذار برتقالي في ربع البلاد، بما في ذلك باريس، وهو ثاني أعلى مستوى، ودعت السُلطات السكان إلى توخي «الحذر الشديد» والإكثار من شرب الماء.
وأفادت هيئة الأرصاد الوطنية «ميتيو فرانس» بأنها تتوقع تواصل موجة الحر الأسبوع القادم لتبلغ ذروتها الأحد أو الإثنين عندما تبلغ الحرارة 40 درجة مئوية بما في ذلك في العاصمة الفرنسية.
ومن شأن الانقلاب الصيفي الأحد، وهو أطول أيام السنة، أن يزيد ارتفاع درجات الحرارة بسبب سطوع الشمس لساعات أطول.
وسيتخذ رؤساء بلديات عدة مدن في أنحاء البلاد قرارات بشأن تعليق الدراسة، إذ ما زالت المدارس غير مجهّزة بما يكفي للتعامل مع الحر الشديد.
وأعلنت عدة مدارس تعديلات في ساعات الدراسة ابتداءً من بعد ظهر الخميس بسبب موجة الحر، بحسب السُلطات الأكاديمية والنقابات.
وفي باريس، عدّلت نحو 10 مدارس ترتيباتها ليومي الخميس والجمعة.
A new heatwave sweeping across most of France today has led to the cancellation of dozens of train journeys and adjustments to school hours or the complete cancellation of classes, with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
Although summer does not officially begin until Sunday, this is the second heatwave to hit France in 2026, following days last month when temperatures soared to record levels in half of the country.
An orange alert level has been declared in a quarter of the country, including Paris, which is the second highest level, and authorities have urged residents to exercise “extreme caution” and to drink plenty of water.
The national weather service “Meteo France” has reported that it expects the heatwave to continue into next week, peaking on Sunday or Monday when temperatures will reach 40 degrees Celsius, including in the French capital.
The summer solstice on Sunday, which is the longest day of the year, is expected to further increase temperatures due to the sun shining for longer hours.
Mayors of several cities across the country will make decisions regarding the suspension of classes, as schools are still not adequately equipped to handle the extreme heat.
Several schools have announced adjustments to their schedules starting from Thursday afternoon due to the heatwave, according to academic authorities and unions.
In Paris, about 10 schools have modified their arrangements for Thursday and Friday.
