نفى الجيش الأمريكي صحة ما تردد عن إطلاق إيران صواريخ تحذيرية باتجاه مدمرات أمريكية في خليج عُمان. وأكدت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية «سنتكوم» في منشور على «إكس»، اليوم (الجمعة)، أن هذه المزاعم غير دقيقة.
وكانت القيادة في منطقة المحيطين الهندي والهادي، أعلنت أن القوات نفذت خلال الليل عملية اعتراض للسفينة دافينا التي لا ترفع علماً والخاضعة لعقوبات في المحيط الهندي. وكتبت في منشور: «سنواصل عمليات إنفاذ القانون البحري عالمياً لتعطيل الشبكات غير المشروعة واعتراض السفن التي تقدم دعماً مادياً لإيران أينما كانت تعمل».
وأكدت «سنتكوم»، اليوم، مواصلة الحصار على الموانئ الإيرانية، ونشرت صورة السفينة الهجومية البرمائية «يو إس إس تريبولي» أثناء عبورها بحر العرب، في إطار دعمها للعمليات البحرية الأمريكية في المنطقة.
وذكرت أن القوات الأمريكية حولت حتى الآن مسار 129 سفينة تجارية وتعطيل 6 سفن أخرى لضمان الامتثال لإجراءات الحصار البحري المفروض على إيران.
وكانت البحرية الإيرانية زعمت أنها أطلقت طلقات تحذيرية على مدمرات أمريكية في خليج عُمان. وذكر الجيش الإيراني في بيان، اليوم (الجمعة)، أنه «بعد إطلاق التحذيرات بواسطة صواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة هجومية تابعة للقوة البحرية الإيرانية، غادرت المدمرتان DDG_103 وDDG_87 بحر عمان باتجاه المحيط الهندي»، في إطار ما وصفه بـ«التصدي للتحركات البحرية غير المصرح بها» في المنطقة.
وأفاد أن التحذيرات استهدفت ما وصفها بـ«أعمال إزعاج بحرية وعمليات ضد السفن التجارية وناقلات النفط» من قبل القوات البحرية الأمريكية، وفق ما نقل التلفزيون الإيراني.
وأضاف أن السفينة الهجومية البرمائية «تريبولي» غادرت بحر عمان، إلى جانب وحدات مرتبطة بحاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس جورج بوش».
The U.S. military denied the reports about Iran firing warning shots at American destroyers in the Gulf of Oman. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed in a post on “X” today (Friday) that these claims are inaccurate.
The command in the Indo-Pacific region announced that forces conducted an interception operation overnight against the unflagged vessel Davina, which is under sanctions in the Indian Ocean. It wrote in a post: “We will continue global maritime law enforcement operations to disrupt illicit networks and intercept vessels providing material support to Iran wherever they operate.”
Today, CENTCOM confirmed the continuation of the blockade on Iranian ports and published a picture of the amphibious assault ship “USS Tripoli” as it transited the Arabian Sea, in support of U.S. maritime operations in the region.
It noted that U.S. forces have so far redirected 129 commercial vessels and disrupted 6 others to ensure compliance with the maritime blockade imposed on Iran.
The Iranian Navy claimed that it fired warning shots at American destroyers in the Gulf of Oman. The Iranian military stated in a report today (Friday) that “after warning shots were fired by missiles and attack drones belonging to the Iranian Navy, the destroyers DDG_103 and DDG_87 left the Gulf of Oman heading towards the Indian Ocean,” in what it described as “countering unauthorized maritime movements” in the region.
It reported that the warnings targeted what it described as “maritime disturbances and operations against commercial vessels and oil tankers” by U.S. naval forces, according to Iranian television.
It added that the amphibious assault ship “Tripoli” left the Gulf of Oman, along with units associated with the aircraft carrier “USS George Bush.”
