أجرى وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، اتصالاً هاتفياً بوزير الدفاع الوطني الكندي ديفيد ماكغينتي.
وفي بداية الاتصال قدم الأمير خالد بن سلمان التعازي لوزير الدفاع الوطني الكندي في وفاة عدد من أعضاء الخدمة العسكرية، إثر حادث الحريق الذي وقع داخل قاعدة القوات الكندية في مقاطعة ألبيرتا، وأعرب الأمير خالد بن سلمان عن تمنياته للمصابين بالشفاء العاجل.
كما جرى خلال الاتصال استعراض آفاق التعاون السعودي الكندي في المجال الدفاعي، وبحث التطورات الإقليمية الراهنة، وسبل تعزيز العمل المشترك لدعم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، وإدانة الاعتداءات الإرهابية التي تشنها ميليشيا الحوثي على المملكة.
