فيما وصفت وسائل إعلام أمريكية اتصال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بقادة دول المنطقة بأنه «إيجابي جداً»، أعرب سفير إيران لدى باكستان رضا أميري عن أمله في أن تفضي جهود باكستان إلى إحلال سلام دائم في المنطقة.
وقال أميري في تصريحات صحفية: «بتفاؤل حذر يمكننا أن نأمل أن خطوات إيجابية آخذة في التشكل إذا أبدى الطرف الآخر التزاماً كافياً»، موضحاً أن هذه الخطوات الإيجابية جاءت نتيجة مبادرة إسلام آباد وجهودها المخلصة.
وأشار إلى أن وزير الداخلية الباكستاني هنأه قبل دقائق من عودته من طهران، على الإنجازات التي تحققت في المفاوضات.
في الوقت ذاته، قال مصدران باكستانيان مطلعان لوكالة «رويترز» إن إيران وباكستان قدمتا مقترحاً معدلاً إلى الولايات المتحدة لإنهاء الحرب وإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز، متوقعين أن ترد واشنطن على العرض غداً (الأحد)، وهو ما أكده الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، الذي قال: «هناك اجتماع لكبار المستشارين اليوم بشأن المسودة الأخيرة للاتفاق، وقد يُتخذ القرار غداً».
من جهة أخرى، نقلت شبكة «فوكس نيوز» عن دبلوماسي إقليمي قوله إن اتصال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بقادة في المنطقة كان إيجابياً جداً، مشيراً إلى «إحراز تقدم جيد».
وأضاف الدبلوماسي الإقليمي أن قادة المنطقة أبدوا دعمهم للتقدم المحرز وللإنجاز الذي حققه ترمب خلال المحادثات.
وكان موقع «أكسيوس» قد نقل عن مصدر مطلع قوله إن الرئيس الأمريكي أجرى اتصالاً بقادة السعودية وقطر والإمارات ومصر وتركيا وباكستان.
وغادر قائد الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير طهران اليوم، بعد اجتماعات مع كبار المسؤولين هناك، في إطار جهود وساطة لدفع الأطراف نحو اتفاق. ولم يتم التوصل إلى اتفاق نهائي، لكن باكستان أكدت وجود تقدم مشجع نحو تفاهم نهائي.
While American media described U.S. President Donald Trump’s communication with regional leaders as “very positive,” Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri, expressed hope that Pakistan’s efforts would lead to lasting peace in the region.
Amiri stated in press remarks: “With cautious optimism, we can hope that positive steps are taking shape if the other side shows sufficient commitment,” explaining that these positive steps resulted from Islamabad’s initiative and its sincere efforts.
He noted that the Pakistani Interior Minister congratulated him just minutes before his return from Tehran on the achievements made in the negotiations.
At the same time, two informed Pakistani sources told Reuters that Iran and Pakistan had submitted a revised proposal to the United States to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, expecting Washington to respond to the offer tomorrow (Sunday), which was confirmed by President Donald Trump, who said: “There is a meeting of senior advisors today regarding the final draft of the agreement, and a decision may be made tomorrow.”
On another note, Fox News reported that a regional diplomat stated that President Donald Trump’s call with leaders in the region was very positive, indicating “good progress” was made.
The regional diplomat added that the leaders in the region expressed their support for the progress made and the achievement Trump secured during the talks.
The Axios website reported that a knowledgeable source said the U.S. president had contacted leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan.
The Chief of the Pakistani Army, General Asim Munir, left Tehran today after meetings with senior officials there as part of mediation efforts to push the parties toward an agreement. No final agreement has been reached, but Pakistan confirmed that encouraging progress toward a final understanding exists.
