وسط قلق عدد من المسؤولين الأمريكيين من أن تتحول تصريحات الأمريكي ترمب إلى عقبة رئيسية أمام إنهاء حرب إيران، يسود الترقب تسليم طهران رداً على مقترح الولايات المتحدةمن أجل وقف الحرب، والذي شمل 14 بنداً.
ونقلت شبكة «سي إن إن» عن مصادر إقليمية أن طهران تدرس الرد على أن تسلمه اليوم، فيما كشف مسؤولون أمريكيون عن طبيعة المقترح الذي قدمته واشنطن إلى طهران.
وأوضح المسؤولون أن المقترح الأمريكي طالب إيران بإقرار رسمي بعدم السعي لامتلاك سلاح نووي وتفكيك منشآت فوردو ونطنز وأصفهان النووية على أن تجميد عملية التخصيب النووي لمدة 20 عاماً.
وحول اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب الذي يقدر بـ400 كلغ، أوضحت المسؤولون أن المقترح شدد على ضرورة تسليمه لكنه لم يحدد الجهة التي يجب أن تتسلمه رغم تأكيدات ترمب أنه يجب أن يسلم إلى الولايات المتحدة، مع أن روسيا كانت عرضت سابقاً تسلم اليورانيوم عالي التخصيب.
في المقابل، ألتزم المقترح الأمريكي برفع الحصار البحري عن الموانئ الإيرانية، مقابل إلغاء القيود الإيرانية المفروضة بحكم الأمر الواقع على العبور عبر مضيق هرمز.
في غضون ذلك، أثار استخفاف الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب المتواصل بالقادة الإيرانيين قلق عدد من المسؤولين الأمريكيين والعرب المطلعين على تفاصيل المفاوضات، وبحسب مجلة «بوليتيكو» فإن هناك مخاوف من أن تتحول «هذه الإهانات» إلى عقبة رئيسية أمام إنهاء حرب إيران التي أرهقت الاقتصاد العالمي.
وذكرت صحيفة «نيويورك تايمز» أن نحو 50 ألف جندي في حالة تأهب بالمنطقة، بينما يبعث البيت الأبيض بإشارات متناقضة بشأن وضع المجهود الحربي.
وأكد ترمب، أمس، أنه سينهي الحرب ويوفر ممراً آمناً للسفن عبر المضيق إذا وافقت إيران على تقديم ما تم الاتفاق عليه، من دون أن يوضح مزيداً من التفاصيل، مضيفاً:«إذا لم يوافقوا، فسيبدأ القصف».
Amid concerns from several American officials that President Trump’s statements could become a major obstacle to ending the Iran war, there is anticipation regarding Tehran’s response to the U.S. proposal to halt the war, which included 14 points.
CNN reported from regional sources that Tehran is considering delivering its response today, while American officials revealed the nature of the proposal that Washington presented to Tehran.
Officials explained that the American proposal called for Iran to officially acknowledge that it is not seeking to acquire nuclear weapons and to dismantle the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities, along with freezing the uranium enrichment process for 20 years.
Regarding the highly enriched uranium estimated at 400 kg, officials clarified that the proposal emphasized the necessity of its delivery but did not specify who should receive it, despite Trump’s assertions that it should be handed over to the United States, although Russia had previously offered to receive the highly enriched uranium.
In return, the American proposal committed to lifting the naval blockade on Iranian ports in exchange for the cancellation of the de facto Iranian restrictions on passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s ongoing disdain for Iranian leaders has raised concerns among several American and Arab officials familiar with the details of the negotiations. According to Politico magazine, there are fears that “these insults” could become a major obstacle to ending the Iran war, which has strained the global economy.
The New York Times reported that about 50,000 troops are on alert in the region, while the White House is sending mixed signals regarding the status of the war effort.
Trump confirmed yesterday that he would end the war and provide a safe passage for ships through the strait if Iran agreed to deliver what was agreed upon, without providing further details, adding: “If they don’t agree, bombing will begin.”
