تُمثّل معسكرات الكشافة السعودية في مكة والمدينة والمشاعر نموذجاً للعمل التطوعي المنظم لخدمة الحجاج بمشاركة 5,282 من الفتية والشباب والقادة موزعين على 20 معسكراً. وتعود بدايات المعسكرات إلى أواخر السبعينات الهجرية قبل انطلاقتها الرسمية 1382هـ بمشاركة 150 كشافاً، لتتطور لاحقاً إلى واحدة من أكبر المبادرات الموسمية لخدمة الحجاج.
وتعمل المعسكرات بالتعاون مع جهات حكومية عدة مثل وزارة الحج والعمرة، وزارة الصحة، الأمن العام، وزارة التجارة، وأمانة العاصمة المقدسة، إضافة إلى مشروع الهدي والأضاحي، بما يعزز جودة الخدمات الميدانية والتنظيمية.
وتشارك قطاعات كشفية من التعليم، والتدريب التقني، والموارد البشرية، والهيئة الملكية، ووزارة الرياضة، في إطار وطني يهدف لغرس ثقافة التطوع والعمل الجماعي. ويخضع المشاركون لتدريب متخصص يشمل الإسعافات الأولية، والإنقاذ، وإدارة الحشود، والتعامل مع الحجاج بلغاتهم المختلفة.
وتسهم هذه المعسكرات في تعزيز قيم الإخلاص والانتماء، وتنمية مهارات الشباب القيادية، وإبراز الصورة المشرفة للكشاف السعودي.
The Saudi scout camps in Mecca, Medina, and the holy sites represent a model of organized volunteer work to serve the pilgrims, with the participation of 5,282 boys, youth, and leaders distributed across 20 camps. The origins of the camps date back to the late 1970s Hijri before their official launch in 1382 AH with the participation of 150 scouts, later evolving into one of the largest seasonal initiatives to serve the pilgrims.
The camps operate in collaboration with several government entities such as the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Health, Public Security, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Secretariat of the Holy Capital, in addition to the sacrificial offerings project, which enhances the quality of field and organizational services.
Scout sectors from education, technical training, human resources, the Royal Commission, and the Ministry of Sports participate within a national framework aimed at instilling a culture of volunteering and teamwork. Participants undergo specialized training that includes first aid, rescue, crowd management, and communication with pilgrims in their various languages.
These camps contribute to enhancing values of sincerity and belonging, developing the leadership skills of youth, and showcasing the honorable image of the Saudi scout.
