أعاد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إشعال الجدل حول ملف الأجسام الطائرة المجهولة والحياة خارج الأرض، معلناً عزمه إصدار توجيهات لوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (البنتاغون) ووكالات فيدرالية أخرى لبدء عملية «تحديد ونشر» الوثائق الحكومية المتعلقة بالكائنات الفضائية والظواهر الجوية غير المحددة.
توجيهات بالنشر بعد «اهتمام واسع»
وقال ترمب إنه سيطلب من الجهات المختصة الشروع في مراجعة الملفات المرتبطة بما يُعرف بالصحون الطائرة والحياة خارج كوكب الأرض، مشيراً إلى أن الخطوة تأتي استجابة للاهتمام الشعبي المتزايد بهذا الملف، الذي ظل لعقود محاطاً بالسرية والتكهنات داخل الولايات المتحدة.
وأضاف عبر منصته «تروث سوشال» أنه سيكلف وزارة الدفاع والوكالات ذات الصلة بالبدء في تحديد الوثائق القابلة للنشر، في خطوة قد تفتح باباً واسعاً أمام الرأي العام للاطلاع على ما ظل طي الكتمان.
اتهام مباشر لأوباما
تصريحات ترمب جاءت في أعقاب مقابلة للرئيس الأمريكي السابق باراك أوباما مع المعلق السياسي برايان تايلر كوهين، قال فيها رداً على سؤال حول وجود كائنات فضائية: «نعم، إنها حقيقية، لكنني لم أرها».
واعتبر ترمب أن سلفه «كشف معلومات سرية»، مضيفاً أنه «لا يعرف إن كانت حقيقية أم لا»، لكنه رأى أن مجرد التطرق إليها بهذه الصيغة «كان خطأً فادحاً».
توضيح لاحق: احتمال إحصائي لا أكثر
وعقب الجدل، أوضح أوباما عبر حسابه على «إنستغرام» أن حديثه جاء في إطار افتراضي، مشيراً إلى أن اتساع الكون يجعل احتمال وجود حياة خارج الأرض وارداً من الناحية الإحصائية، غير أن المسافات الشاسعة بين الأنظمة الشمسية تجعل احتمال زيارة كائنات فضائية للأرض أمراً ضئيلاً جداً.
وأكد أنه خلال فترة رئاسته لم يرَ أي دليل على تواصل مع كائنات فضائية، نافياً وجود معلومات مؤكدة بشأن زيارات من خارج الكوكب.

U.S. President Donald Trump has reignited the debate over the issue of unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life, announcing his intention to issue directives to the U.S. Department of Defense (the Pentagon) and other federal agencies to begin the process of “identifying and releasing” government documents related to extraterrestrial beings and unidentified aerial phenomena.
Publishing Directives After “Widespread Interest”
Trump stated that he would ask the relevant authorities to begin reviewing files related to what is known as flying saucers and life beyond Earth, noting that this step comes in response to the increasing public interest in this issue, which has remained shrouded in secrecy and speculation within the United States for decades.
He added via his platform “Truth Social” that he would task the Department of Defense and related agencies with starting to identify documents that can be published, in a move that could open the door wide for public opinion to access what has remained hidden.
Direct Accusation Against Obama
Trump’s statements came following an interview with former U.S. President Barack Obama and political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen, in which Obama responded to a question about the existence of extraterrestrial beings: “Yes, they are real, but I haven’t seen them.”
Trump considered that his predecessor “revealed classified information,” adding that he “doesn’t know if it’s real or not,” but he believed that merely mentioning it in this way “was a grave mistake.”
Subsequent Clarification: A Statistical Possibility at Most
Following the controversy, Obama clarified via his Instagram account that his comments were made in a hypothetical context, pointing out that the vastness of the universe makes the possibility of extraterrestrial life statistically plausible, but the vast distances between solar systems make the likelihood of extraterrestrial beings visiting Earth extremely low.
He confirmed that during his presidency, he did not see any evidence of contact with extraterrestrial beings, denying the existence of confirmed information regarding visits from outside the planet.
