استرجعت تجربة مريحة خضتها قبل بضعة أشهر مع طيران الاتحاد، عندما أنهيت جميع إجراءات الجوازات والجمارك الأمريكية في صالة سفر خاصة بمطار زايد الدولي بكل راحة ودون زحام، فوصلت إلى وجهتي الأمريكية كراكب محلي، خرجت من الطائرة وسحبت حقائبي إلى بوابة الخروج، فقد ألقيت بهموم إجراءات المطارات الأمريكية ورائي بمجرد الإقلاع. استرجعتها وأنا أقرأ عن خدمة مماثلة تتاح لحجاج بيت الله الحرام بإنهاء إجراءات سفرهم في مطارات بلدانهم، ثم يتوجهون عند هبوط طائراتهم في مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي إلى حافلات النقل مباشرة، لتلحق بهم حقائبهم إلى مقار سكنهم !
خدمة متقدمة تتاح للحاج، وتضاف إلى المستوى المتقدم للخدمات التي تقدم لضيوف الرحمن، وتزداد تقدماً عاماً بعد عام، والمعايير العالية التي تفرضها وزارة الحج لضمان حق الحاج في الحصول على مستوى لائق من السكن والإعاشة وخدمات النقل والرعاية الطبية التي يستحقها، تليق بأهمية المشاعر المقدسة وتواكب اهتمام المملكة العربية السعودية بخدمة ضيوف الرحمن !

واليوم يبدأ توافد ضيوف الرحمن لأداء نسكهم، لكن العمل على تهيئة استقبالهم بدأ في الحقيقة منذ مغادرة حجاج موسم الحج السابق، فهو عمل لا يتوقف وتنخرط فيه جميع مؤسسات الدولة ذات العلاقة !
باختصار.. استقبال ملايين الحجاج في مساحة ضيقة، وإدارة معيشتهم وحركتهم ضمن نافذة زمنية محددة ودقيقة، هو عنوان نجاح سعودي ومصدر إلهام عالمي !
I recalled a comfortable experience I had a few months ago with Etihad Airways when I completed all American passport and customs procedures in a private travel lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport with ease and without crowds. I arrived at my American destination as a local passenger, exited the plane, and pulled my luggage to the exit gate, having left behind the burdens of American airport procedures as soon as we took off. I remembered this while reading about a similar service available to pilgrims of the House of God, allowing them to complete their travel procedures at their home countries’ airports, and then head directly to shuttle buses upon landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport, with their luggage following them to their accommodations!

Today, the arrival of the guests of the Merciful to perform their rituals begins, but the work to prepare for their reception actually started with the departure of the pilgrims from the previous Hajj season. It is a continuous effort involving all relevant state institutions!
In short, welcoming millions of pilgrims in a limited space and managing their living conditions and movements within a specific and precise timeframe is a hallmark of Saudi success and a source of global inspiration!
