وقال رونالدينيو في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «ذا صن» البريطانية: «ألوان جديدة، نفس الابتسامة، لا أطيق الانتظار للعودة إلى الرقص بالكرة وكتابة قصة جديدة مع إغنازيو وعائلة تشيبرياني بأكملها».
وأضاف: «لطالما كانت كرة القدم مصدر سعادة بالنسبة لي، وأريد أن أنقل هذه الروح نفسها إلى رافينا».

لكن نائب الرئيس الفخري لنادي رافينا أريدو برايدا أنهى الآمال بشأن إمكانية مشاركة نجم برشلونة وميلان السابق في مباريات دوري الدرجة الثالثة الإيطالي، قائلاً: «سيقوم رونالدينيو بحدث تسويقي معنا، لكنه لن يلعب مع رافينا في الموسم المقبل، أتمنى لو كان لا يزال قادراً على اللعب، كان دينو ظاهرة ولاعباً رائعاً».

In a surprising move, Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho announced his joining of Ravenna, a club participating in the Italian third division, without clarifying the nature of his role with the obscure club.
Ronaldinho, who is 46 years old, ended his illustrious career filled with team titles and individual awards after a brief stint with Fluminense in 2015.

Ronaldinho stated in comments reported by the British newspaper “The Sun”: “New colors, the same smile, I can’t wait to return to dancing with the ball and writing a new story with Ignazio and the entire Chiepriani family.”
He added: “Football has always been a source of happiness for me, and I want to bring that same spirit to Ravenna.”
Will Ronaldinho play with Ravenna?
However, the honorary vice president of Ravenna, Ariedo Braida, dashed hopes regarding the possibility of the former Barcelona and Milan star participating in matches in the Italian third division, saying: “Ronaldinho will be doing a marketing event with us, but he will not play with Ravenna next season. I wish he could still play; Dino was a phenomenon and a fantastic player.”
He continued: “I have a great relationship with him since the Milan days, but he will not play with us in the Italian third division.”
