أعلنت الهيئة السعودية للملكية الفكرية، «التقرير الإحصائي لمعلومات الملكية الفكرية لعام 2025»، الذي كشف قفزات نوعية في مختلف مؤشرات حماية الابتكار؛ مما يعكس نضج البيئة التنظيمية والتحوّل المتسارع نحو اقتصاد المعرفة في المملكة.
وجاء في صدارة نتائج التقرير تسجيل ارتفاع قياسي في طلبات براءات الاختراع المقدمة من الأفراد بنسبة 102% مقارنة بالعام السابق، كما برز مسار الإيداع المباشر بشكل كبير مسجلًا ارتفاعًا بنسبة 59% مقارنةً بالعام 2024م، في دلالة واضحة على تزايد الاعتماد على هذا المسار كخيار فعّال لحماية الابتكارات، ويُعد هذا النمو المتسارع في الإيداع المباشر ومن قبل فئة الأفراد انعكاسًا مباشرًا لنجاح مبادرات الهيئة في تبسيط إجراءات الإيداع الرقمي وتحسين تجربة المستخدم، إلى جانب تنامي مستوى الوعي الوطني بأهمية حماية براءات الاختراع وتمكين المبتكرين من حماية أفكارهم بيسر وسهولة.
وعلى صعيد الطلبات المقدّمة من خارج المملكة، أبرز التقرير تصدر جمهورية الصين الشعبية للمشهد في طلبات تسجيل التصاميم بالمملكة؛ حيث شهدت الطلبات الصينية نموًا استثنائيًا بنسبة 262%، فيما ارتفعت شهادات التصاميم الصادرة للطلبات المقدمة من جمهورية الصين الشعبية بنسبة 235%، وتصدرت شركة «هواوي» قائمة الجهات الأكثر نشاطًا؛ مما يؤكد مكانة المملكة بيئة جاذبة وموثوقة لكبرى الشركات التقنية العالمية.
كما سلّط التقرير الضوء على الدور الريادي للشركات الوطنية الكبرى، والشركات التابعة لصندوق الاستثمارات العامة، والشركات الناشئة، التي أظهرت نشاطًا مكثفًا في حماية أصولها الفكرية؛ مما يعزز من تنافسية الاقتصاد السعودي دوليًا وفقًا لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأكَّدت الهيئة أن هذا التقرير يمثل مرجعًا أساسيًا لصناع القرار والمستثمرين والمبتكرين؛ لرصد وتيرة الابتكار في المملكة وتحديد الفرص المستقبلية في مجالات الملكية الفكرية المختلفة.
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property announced the “Statistical Report on Intellectual Property Information for 2025,” which revealed significant leaps in various indicators of innovation protection; reflecting the maturity of the regulatory environment and the accelerating shift towards a knowledge economy in the Kingdom.
The report highlighted a record increase in patent applications submitted by individuals, rising by 102% compared to the previous year. Additionally, the direct filing pathway significantly emerged, recording a 59% increase compared to 2024, clearly indicating a growing reliance on this pathway as an effective option for protecting innovations. This rapid growth in direct filings by individuals is a direct reflection of the Authority’s successful initiatives to simplify digital filing procedures and improve user experience, alongside the increasing national awareness of the importance of patent protection and enabling innovators to protect their ideas easily and effortlessly.
Regarding applications submitted from outside the Kingdom, the report emphasized that the People’s Republic of China topped the scene in design registration applications in the Kingdom; with Chinese applications witnessing exceptional growth of 262%, while design certificates issued for applications submitted from the People’s Republic of China increased by 235%. Huawei topped the list of the most active entities, confirming the Kingdom’s status as an attractive and reliable environment for major global tech companies.
The report also highlighted the leading role of major national companies, companies affiliated with the Public Investment Fund, and startups, which demonstrated intensive activity in protecting their intellectual assets; enhancing the competitiveness of the Saudi economy internationally in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
The Authority confirmed that this report serves as a fundamental reference for decision-makers, investors, and innovators; to monitor the pace of innovation in the Kingdom and identify future opportunities in various fields of intellectual property.
