توعد الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين بالرد على الهجوم الأوكراني الذي طال منطقة لوغانسك التي تسيطر عليها روسيا شرق أوكرانيا، وأسفر عن مقتل 6 أشخاص على الأقل، بينما لا يزال هناك 15 شخصاً في عداد المفقودين.
واتهم أوكرانيا بأنها نفذت هجوماً إرهابياً في لوغانسك، مؤكداً أنه طلب «إعداد خيارات للرد على الهجوم الأوكراني».
وأكد بوتين أن هذه الضربة التي استهدفت خلال الليل سكناً طلابياً يضم عشرات المراهقين «لم تكن عرضية» بل تم تنفيذها على ثلاث موجات، حيث استهدفت 16 طائرة مسيرة الموقع نفسه -وفقاً لتصريحات نقلها التلفزيون-.
ويأتي التصعيد في وقت تشهد فيه جبهات القتال شرق أوكرانيا توتراً متزايداً، خصوصاً في مناطق دونباس التي تضم لوغانسك ودونيتسك، وسط استمرار الهجمات المتبادلة بين موسكو وكييف.
وتسيطر روسيا على معظم أراضي لوغانسك منذ سنوات، وتعتبرها جزءاً من الأراضي التي ضمتها رسمياً، بينما ترفض أوكرانيا والمجتمع الدولي هذا الضم
وارتفعت حصيلة ضربات نفذتها كييف على منطقة لوغانسك التي تسيطر عليها روسيا في شرق أوكرانيا، إلى ستة قتلى على الأقل و40 جريحا و16 مفقوداً.
وقال ليونيد باسيتشنيك الحاكم الإقليمي المعيّن من قبل موسكو إن مسيّرات معادية هاجمت مبنى كلية ستاروبيلسك المهنية التابعة لجامعة لوغانسك التربوية وسكن الطلاب التابع لها. وأعلن أن 86 مراهقاً كانوا في المكان وقت الهجوم.
من جانبها، أعلنت الخارجية الروسية بأنه «عند وقوع هذا الهجوم الهمجي، كان 86 يافعا تراوح أعمارهم بين 14 و18 عاماً في مبنى السكن الطلابي الذي انهار».
وشددت على أن أياً من الموجودين في المبنى لم يكن مشاركاً أو قادراً على المشاركة في المعارك، ولا توجد على مقربة منه أي منشأة عسكرية، واصفة الاعتداء بأنه «هجوم على المدنيين».
وأظهرت صور نشرها «باسيتشنيك» مبنيين متضرّرين بشدة، وانهار أحدهما بشكل جزئي بينما اشتعلت فيه النيران، وبدت جدران المبنى الآخر متفحّمة ونوافذه محطمة.
وأفادت لجنة التحقيق الروسية بأن الجيش الأوكراني استخدم أربع طائرات مسيّرة في الهجوم. وأضافت «نتيجة للهجوم، انهار المبنى المؤلف من خمس طوابق حتى الطابق الثاني».
ووصف المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف الهجوم بأنه «جريمة شنيعة».
Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to respond to the Ukrainian attack that targeted the Russian-controlled Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of at least 6 people, while 15 others remain missing.
He accused Ukraine of carrying out a terrorist attack in Luhansk, confirming that he requested “options to respond to the Ukrainian attack.”
Putin emphasized that this strike, which targeted a student residence housing dozens of teenagers during the night, “was not accidental” but was carried out in three waves, with 16 drones targeting the same site – according to statements reported by television.
The escalation comes at a time when the front lines in eastern Ukraine are experiencing increasing tension, especially in the Donbas regions that include Luhansk and Donetsk, amid ongoing reciprocal attacks between Moscow and Kyiv.
Russia has controlled most of Luhansk’s territory for years, considering it part of the lands it officially annexed, while Ukraine and the international community reject this annexation.
The toll from strikes carried out by Kyiv on the Russian-controlled Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine has risen to at least six dead, 40 injured, and 16 missing.
Leonid Pasechnik, the regional governor appointed by Moscow, stated that hostile drones attacked the building of the Starobilsk Vocational College affiliated with Luhansk State Pedagogical University and its student residence. He announced that 86 teenagers were present at the site at the time of the attack.
For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that “at the time of this barbaric attack, 86 youths aged between 14 and 18 were in the student residence building that collapsed.”
It stressed that none of those present in the building were participating or capable of participating in the fighting, and there were no military facilities nearby, describing the assault as “an attack on civilians.”
Images published by “Pasechnik” showed two severely damaged buildings, one of which partially collapsed while on fire, and the walls of the other building appeared charred with broken windows.
The Russian Investigative Committee reported that the Ukrainian army used four drones in the attack. It added, “As a result of the attack, the five-story building collapsed up to the second floor.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the attack as “a heinous crime.”
