فيما وجه الجيش الإسرائيلي إنذاراً عاجلاً للسكان في سبع بلدات في جنوب لبنان، مطالباً بإخلائها بسرعة، أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو اليوم (الإثنين) أنه أصدر تعليمات للجيش بمهاجمة أهداف في بيروت بالتنسيق مع وزارة الدفاع.
وقال نتنياهو في بيان: «لن نسمح لـحزب الله بمهاجمة مدننا ومواطنينا، وتبقى مقاره في الضاحية منطقة محظورة»، مهدداً بمواصلة تكثيف العمليات في جنوب لبنان.
من جهته، قال وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس: «إذا لم يكن هناك هدوء في شمال إسرائيل فلن يكون هناك هدوء في بيروت»، مضيفاً أن إسرائيل في مرحلة أمنية معقدة وتتعامل مع تهديدات على عدة جبهات.
وأكد كاتس توجيه الجيش الإسرائيلي بمهاجمة أهداف في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، مشيراً إلى أنه «لن يُسمح بواقع تُستهدف فيه قواتنا وبلداتنا بينما يسود الهدوء في بيروت».
وأشار إلى أن الجيش يواصل عملياته ضد حزب الله في لبنان، ويسعى إلى تحويل منطقة الليطاني إلى منطقة خاضعة للسيطرة الأمنية.
في المقابل، أفادت وكالة الأنباء اللبنانية بأن غارة إسرائيلية بطائرة مسيّرة استهدفت سيارة على طريق زفتا–النبطية قرب نقطة إسعاف تابعة للدفاع المدني، ما أدى إلى مقتل السائق وإصابة مسعف.
وأضافت الوكالة أن غارات جوية استهدفت بلدات عربصاليم ويحمر الشقيف وكفرتبنيت وأرنون، بالتزامن مع تنفيذ مسيّرة غارة على بلدة شوكين.
While the Israeli army issued an urgent warning to residents in seven towns in southern Lebanon, demanding their swift evacuation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today (Monday) that he has instructed the army to attack targets in Beirut in coordination with the Ministry of Defense.
Netanyahu stated in a statement: “We will not allow Hezbollah to attack our cities and citizens, and its headquarters in the southern suburb remains a forbidden area,” threatening to continue intensifying operations in southern Lebanon.
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “If there is no calm in northern Israel, there will be no calm in Beirut,” adding that Israel is in a complex security phase and is dealing with threats on multiple fronts.
Katz confirmed the Israeli army’s directive to attack targets in the southern suburb of Beirut, noting that “it will not be allowed for our forces and towns to be targeted while calm prevails in Beirut.”
He pointed out that the army continues its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon and seeks to turn the Litani area into a region under security control.
In contrast, the Lebanese news agency reported that an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle on the Zefta-Nabatiyeh road near a civil defense ambulance point, resulting in the driver’s death and injuring a paramedic.
The agency added that airstrikes targeted the towns of Arab Salim, Hirmil, Kfar Tebnit, and Arnoun, coinciding with a drone strike on the town of Shawkin.
