نفت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية «سنتكوم» بشكل قاطع المزاعم الإيرانية التي أطلقتها وسائل الإعلام الرسمية والحرس الثوري الإيراني، عن استهداف أو إصابة مدمرة تابعة للبحرية الأمريكية في خليج عمان.
وقالت «سنتكوم» في منشور رسمي على منصة «إكس»: «تدعي إيران الآن أنها استهدفت مدمرة تابعة للبحرية الأمريكية في خليج عمان.. والحقيقة أن إيران تكذب، الحشود العسكرية الأمريكية في البحر تواصل الطيران والإبحار والعمل بأمان ودون أي عوائق».
وأضافت «سنتكوم» في منشور آخر: «ادعت إيران اليوم أنها لم تهاجم مبنى الركاب في مطار الكويت الدولي، وأن الأضرار نجمت بدلاً من ذلك عن صاروخ اعتراض أمريكي، وهذا كذب تماماً.. الحقيقة: إيران ضربت المطار المدني بطائرات مسيّرة في هجوم متعمد ومدروس وغير مبرر».
يأتي هذا التبادل الحاد في سياق تصعيد إقليمي واسع بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران خلال الأشهر الأخيرة، وتحديداً بعد فرض الولايات المتحدة حصاراً بحرياً على الموانئ الإيرانية ضمن عملية «الغضب الملحمي».
وتعتمد إيران على وسائل إعلامها الرسمية والحرس الثوري للترويج لانتصارات عسكرية، بينما تعتمد الولايات المتحدة على بيانات «سنتكوم» السريعة لدحض هذه الادعاءات فور صدورها، ولم يتم حتى الآن تقديم أدلة مستقلة أو صور أقمار صناعية تؤكد أي إصابة لسفن أمريكية.
The U.S. Central Command “CENTCOM” categorically denied the Iranian claims made by official media and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard about targeting or hitting a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Gulf of Oman.
CENTCOM stated in an official post on the platform “X”: “Iran is now claiming that it targeted a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Gulf of Oman… The truth is that Iran is lying; U.S. military forces at sea continue to fly, sail, and operate safely and without any hindrance.”
CENTCOM added in another post: “Iran claimed today that it did not attack the passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport, and that the damage was instead caused by an American intercept missile, which is completely false… The truth: Iran struck the civilian airport with drones in a deliberate, calculated, and unjustified attack.”
This sharp exchange comes in the context of a broad regional escalation between the United States and Iran in recent months, particularly after the U.S. imposed a maritime blockade on Iranian ports as part of Operation “Epic Fury.”
Iran relies on its official media and the Revolutionary Guard to promote military victories, while the United States relies on CENTCOM’s rapid statements to refute these claims as soon as they are made, and no independent evidence or satellite images confirming any damage to U.S. ships have been presented so far.
