بات أكبر ثغور السعودية على البحر الأحمر -جدة- على موعد مع التاريخ يقترب أكثر فأكثر، فقد أعلنت الجهات التي تقوم ببناء «برج جدة» أنه يوشك على الاكتمال، بعدما تجاوز تشييده حتى الآن 100 طابق. وسيكون البرج، الذي يعد أحد مشاريع التحول الاقتصادي الذي تشهده المملكة في إطار رؤية العام 2030، أعلى ناطحة سحاب في العالم، بطول يفوق كيلومتراً، وبطوابق يصل عددها إلى 157 طابقاً.
ووصل العمل الإنشائي حتى الآن إلى 102 طابق، وعند اكتمال إنشائه سيفوق ارتفاعاً برج خليفة في دبي، الذي يرتفع 828 متراً، ويحتل حالياً لقب أعلى ناطحة سحاب في العالم، وسيكون البرج نموذجاً حياً لأرفع ما وصلت إليه تكنولوجيا البناء في ثغر جدة النابض بالحياة. وهو مصمم بحيث يقاوم الرياح، وقوة الجاذبية.
ويعد برج جدة أحد «المشاريع العملاقة»، التي وردت في تفاصيل رؤية 2030، الهادفة لتنويع الاقتصاد الوطني، وتعافي المملكة من إدمان الاعتماد على مداخيل النفط، التي دائماً لا تستقر على حال، تبعاً للتطورات الجيوسياسية التي يشهدها العالم. وسيكون البرج دليلاً على عظمة الطموحات المعمارية السعودية، التي تشمل مشاريع عملاقة أخرى، منها «مدينة نيوم»، و«ذا لاين»، و«المكعب»، ومشاريع أخرى.

The tower, which is one of the economic transformation projects taking place in the Kingdom as part of the Vision 2030 initiative, will be the tallest skyscraper in the world, exceeding a kilometer in height, with a total of 157 floors.
As of now, the construction work has reached 102 floors, and upon its completion, it will surpass the height of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which stands at 828 meters and currently holds the title of the tallest skyscraper in the world. Jeddah Tower is considered one of the “mega projects” mentioned in the details of Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the national economy and helping the Kingdom recover from its dependency on oil revenues, which are always unstable due to the geopolitical developments occurring worldwide. The tower will serve as a testament to the grandeur of Saudi architectural ambitions, which include other massive projects such as “NEOM,” “The Line,” “The Cube,” and various other initiatives.
