كشف الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي اليوم (الإثنين) أن بلاده باتت قريبة من إنتاج صاروخ باليستي محلي الصنع لاستخدامه في ضرب أهداف داخل العمق الروسي، قبيل مباحثات في لندن مع قادة بريطانيا وفرنسا وألمانيا بشأن سبل إنهاء الحرب المستمرة منذ سنوات.
وأوضح زيلينسكي لشبكة «سكاي نيوز» البريطانية أن بلاده طورت خلال الحرب مجموعة واسعة من الطائرات المسيّرة والصواريخ، مشدداً بالقول: «لا نمتلك بعد صواريخ باليستية، لكننا نسير في هذا الاتجاه، ونحن قريبون جداً من ذلك».
وأشار الرئيس الأوكراني إلى أن تصعيد الهجمات العابرة للحدود يمثل رداً على العمليات الروسية، مبيناً أن بلاده «لن تموت بصمت»، وأن قدرتها على الرد تزداد يوماً بعد يوم.
وأبدى زيلينسكي استعداده لتجميد القتال على خطوط التماس الحالية إذا كان ذلك سيفتح الباب أمام مفاوضات دبلوماسية تنهي الحرب، رغم لهجته الحازمة تجاه موسكو.
ولفت إلى أن تجميد الجبهة لا يعني منح روسيا انتصاراً، بل يهدف إلى منح الأوكرانيين فرصة لحماية المدنيين وإعادة الجنود إلى ديارهم، معتبراً أن بلاده حققت انتصاراً كبيراً بالحفاظ على استقلالها وسيادتها رغم سنوات الحرب.
وأفصح الرئيس الأوكراني عن تلقيه «إشارات متباينة» من الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين بشأن استعداده لإنهاء الحرب، معتبراً أن القرار النهائي بوقف القتال يعتمد على الرئيس الروسي وحده.
وأضاف زيلينسكي: «إذا أراد حقاً إنهاء هذه الحرب، فسنجلس إلى طاولة المفاوضات»، مبيناً أنه مستعد لعقد لقاء مباشر مع بوتين بأي صيغة كانت، سواء بوساطة دونالد ترمب أو عبر وساطة أوروبية.
وكشف الرئيس الأوكراني عن لعب رجل الأعمال الروسي رومان أبراموفيتش دور الوسيط في نقل رسائل بين موسكو وكييف خلال مراحل سابقة من الحرب، مبيناً أنه أبلغ الملياردير الروسي بأن أوكرانيا لن تتخلى عن إقليم دونباس، ولن تسمح بتحقيق انتصار روسي على حساب سيادتها.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed today (Monday) that his country is close to producing a domestically-made ballistic missile to be used for striking targets deep within Russia, ahead of talks in London with leaders from Britain, France, and Germany regarding ways to end the years-long war.
Zelensky explained to British network “Sky News” that his country has developed a wide range of drones and missiles during the war, emphasizing: “We do not yet have ballistic missiles, but we are moving in that direction, and we are very close to it.”
The Ukrainian president noted that the escalation of cross-border attacks represents a response to Russian operations, stating that his country “will not die in silence,” and that its ability to respond is increasing day by day.
Zelensky expressed his willingness to freeze fighting along the current front lines if it would open the door to diplomatic negotiations to end the war, despite his firm tone towards Moscow.
He pointed out that freezing the front does not mean granting Russia a victory, but aims to give Ukrainians a chance to protect civilians and bring soldiers back home, considering that his country has achieved a significant victory by maintaining its independence and sovereignty despite years of war.
The Ukrainian president disclosed that he has received “mixed signals” from Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding his willingness to end the war, stating that the final decision to stop fighting rests solely with the Russian president.
Zelensky added: “If he really wants to end this war, we will sit at the negotiating table,” indicating that he is ready to hold a direct meeting with Putin in any format, whether mediated by Donald Trump or through European mediation.
The Ukrainian president revealed that Russian businessman Roman Abramovich played a mediating role in conveying messages between Moscow and Kyiv during earlier phases of the war, stating that he informed the Russian billionaire that Ukraine would not give up the Donbas region and would not allow a Russian victory at the expense of its sovereignty.
