تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، تستضيف المملكة أعمال الدورة التاسعة والثلاثين لمؤتمر الاتحاد البرلماني العربي، الذي ينظمه مجلس الشورى والاتحاد البرلماني العربي، خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 25 ذي الحجة 1447هـ، الموافق من 10 إلى 11 يونيو 2026م – عبر الاتصال المرئي – بمشاركة رؤساء البرلمانات والمجالس التشريعية العربية، وممثلي عددٍ من المنظمات.
ورفع رئيس مجلس الشورى الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله محمد إبراهيم آل الشيخ، شكره وتقديره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على الرعاية الكريمة لأعمال الدورة التاسعة والثلاثين لمؤتمر الاتحاد البرلماني العربي، مؤكدًا أنها تعكس حرص خادم الحرمين وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، على تعزيز التعاون العربي المشترك، وإبراز الدور الفاعل لأهمية التضامن العربي بما يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي، وما توليه المملكة من اهتمام بتحقيق التنمية والازدهار لشعوب العالم العربي.
وأوضح، أن العمل العربي المشترك يمثل ركيزة أساسية لمواجهة التحديات الراهنة، ومنطلقًا مهمًا لتوحيد المواقف وتنسيق الجهود البرلمانية؛ بما يُسهم في تعزيز الاستقرار، وحماية المصالح العربية المشتركة، وتفعيل دور البرلمانات في دعم مسارات التنمية، وترسيخ قيم الحوار والتكامل بين الدول العربية.
وأشار آل الشيخ، إلى أن مجلس الشورى يسعد بمشاركة رؤساء المجالس التشريعية العربية وممثلي عددٍ من المنظمات في أعمال الدورة التاسعة والثلاثين لمؤتمر الاتحاد البرلماني العربي، متطلعًا إلى أن تسهم مخرجات المؤتمر في دعم العمل البرلماني العربي المشترك، وتعزيز الدبلوماسية البرلمانية بوصفها أداة فاعلة لخدمة القضايا العربية إقليميًا ودوليًا.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom is hosting the 39th session of the Arab Parliamentary Union Conference, organized by the Shura Council and the Arab Parliamentary Union, from the 24th to the 25th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to June 10 to 11, 2026 AD – via video conferencing – with the participation of the heads of Arab parliaments and legislative councils, and representatives from several organizations.
The Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sheikh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the generous patronage of the 39th session of the Arab Parliamentary Union Conference, affirming that it reflects the commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to enhance joint Arab cooperation and highlight the active role of Arab solidarity in preserving regional security and stability, as well as the Kingdom’s interest in achieving development and prosperity for the peoples of the Arab world.
He explained that Arab joint action represents a fundamental pillar in facing current challenges and an important starting point for unifying positions and coordinating parliamentary efforts; which contributes to enhancing stability, protecting common Arab interests, and activating the role of parliaments in supporting development paths and reinforcing the values of dialogue and integration among Arab countries.
Al Sheikh indicated that the Shura Council is pleased to have the participation of the heads of Arab legislative councils and representatives from several organizations in the 39th session of the Arab Parliamentary Union Conference, looking forward to the conference outcomes contributing to supporting joint Arab parliamentary work and enhancing parliamentary diplomacy as an effective tool for serving Arab issues regionally and internationally.
