تواجه بعثة المنتخب الإيراني أزمة جديدة في كأس العالم 2026، بعد أن أعلنت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية الرسمية (إرنا) انتهاء صلاحية تأشيرة الدخول الخاصة باللاعب مهدي ترابي، جناح نادي تراكتور، مما يهدد مشاركته في البطولة.
وذكرت الوكالة أن ترابي حصل قبل انطلاق البطولة على تأشيرة دخول للمرة الواحدة، بخلاف بقية لاعبي المنتخب الذين حصلوا على تأشيرات متعددة الدخول.
وبعد مشاركة المنتخب في المباراة الافتتاحية أمام نيوزيلندا والتي انتهت بالتعادل 2-2 فجر (الثلاثاء)، انتهت صلاحية تأشيرته.
وكان ترابي احتياطياً في المباراة الافتتاحية، ويأمل الجهاز الفني في الاستعانة به في المباريات القادمة، خاصة أمام بلجيكا (الأحد) في لوس أنجلوس.
وأكّد الاتحاد الإيراني لكرة القدم أنه بدأ فوراً إجراءات الحصول على تأشيرة جديدة للاعب ليتمكن من مرافقة المنتخب في مبارياته القادمة، ولم يصدر حتى الآن أي تعليق رسمي من السلطات الأمريكية أو الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) أو منظمي البطولة.
تأتي هذه الأزمة ضمن سلسلة من المشكلات المتعلقة بالتأشيرات التي تواجه الوفد الإيراني منذ تأهله للمونديال، وسط التوتر السياسي الكبير بين إيران والولايات المتحدة عقب الحرب الأخيرة بين البلدين وتصريحات الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
وتشمل المشكلات السابقة رفض منح تأشيرات لنحو 15 فرداً من أعضاء البعثة بما فيهم مسؤولون كبار، وصعوبات واجهها قائد الفريق مهدي طارمي وأعضاء في الجهاز الفني في المطار، واضطرار المنتخب لاتخاذ مدينة تيخوانا المكسيكية مقراً له، والتنقل جواً لكل مباراة في الولايات المتحدة والعودة فوراً بعد انتهائها.
ويخوض المنتخب الإيراني مبارياته في المجموعة السابعة أمام بلجيكا (الأحد) في لوس أنجلوس ثم أمام مصر يوم 26 يونيو في سياتل.
وتُعد هذه الأزمة الجديدة ضربة معنوية ولوجستية للمنتخب الإيراني، الذي يعاني بالفعل من ضغوط سياسية ولوجستية كبيرة خلال مشاركته في مونديال 2026.
The Iranian national team is facing a new crisis in the 2026 World Cup, after the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) announced that the entry visa of player Mehdi Torabi, the winger for Tractor Club, has expired, threatening his participation in the tournament.
The agency reported that Torabi received a single-entry visa before the tournament began, unlike the other players who received multiple-entry visas.
After the team’s participation in the opening match against New Zealand, which ended in a 2-2 draw early on Tuesday, his visa expired.
Torabi was a substitute in the opening match, and the coaching staff hopes to utilize him in the upcoming matches, especially against Belgium on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The Iranian Football Federation confirmed that it has immediately begun the process of obtaining a new visa for the player so he can accompany the team in its upcoming matches, and no official comment has yet been issued by the American authorities, FIFA, or the tournament organizers.
This crisis comes as part of a series of visa-related issues facing the Iranian delegation since qualifying for the World Cup, amid significant political tension between Iran and the United States following the recent war between the two countries and statements by President Donald Trump.
Previous issues include the refusal to grant visas to about 15 members of the delegation, including senior officials, difficulties faced by team captain Mehdi Taremi and members of the coaching staff at the airport, and the team’s need to make Tijuana, Mexico, its base, flying to each match in the United States and returning immediately after it ends.
The Iranian team will play its matches in Group G against Belgium on Sunday in Los Angeles and then against Egypt on June 26 in Seattle.
This new crisis is a moral and logistical blow to the Iranian team, which is already suffering from significant political and logistical pressures during its participation in the 2026 World Cup.
