أكد الإسباني جولين لوبيتيغي، مدرب المنتخب القطري لكرة القدم، أن الخسارة التي مني بها العنابي اليوم أمام المنتخب الكندي بستة أهداف دون رد، في ثاني جولات المجموعة الثانية من كأس العالم 2026، لم تنه حظوظ المنافسة على التأهل الى دور الـ 32من المونديال.
وقال المدرب في المؤتمر الصحفي عقب المباراة إن البطاقة الحمراء الأولى التي أشهرها الحكم للمدافع الأيسر همام الأمين شكلت نقطة تحول كبيرة في المباراة، خصوصا أنها جاءت بعد تأخر المنتخب القطري بهدف سجله المنتخب الكندي عقب ربع ساعة من انطلاق اللقاء، في وقت كان فيه الجهاز الفني يخطط لإجراء بعض التعديلات التكتيكية من أجل زيادة الفاعلية الهجومية، مشيرا الى ان الأمور زادت تعقيدا بعد البطاقة الحمراء الثانية.
وأوضح المدرب: «الأمر الأهم الذي سنعمل عليه حاليا هو استعادة اللاعبين كامل جاهزيتهم البدنية والنفسية بعد مواجهة كانت مرهقة على الصعيدين البدني والمعنوي في ظل الخسارة بهذه النتيجة، وأن يكونوا حاضرين ذهنيا للمواجهة الأخيرة والمصيرية أمام منتخب البوسنة والهرسك يوم 24 يونيو الجاري ضمن الجولة الأخيرة».
وأشار لوبيتيغي إلى أن الفريق سيخوض المباراة القادمة من دون همام الأمين وعاصم مادبو بعد طردهما أمام كندا، وهما من العناصر المهمة في تشكيلة المنتخب ويعتمد عليهما الجهاز الفني بشكل كبير، مبديا ثقته في قدرة اللاعبين البدلاء على سد الفراغ وتحقيق النتيجة المأمولة.
وأكد لوبيتيغي أن المباراة الثالثة لا تقل صعوبة عن المواجهتين السابقتين، مشيرا إلى أنها ستكون مختلفة أمام منافس يملك أسلوبا مغايرا، ما يتطلب التحضير لها بالشكل الأمثل.
وختم لوبيتيغي تصريحاته بالتأكيد على أن المنتخب القطري تأهل إلى المونديال عن جدارة عبر التصفيات، وما زال يتمسك بكامل حظوظه في أن يكون طرفا في المنافسة على تجاوز دور المجموعات، مطالبا اللاعبين بطي صفحة الخسارة أمام كندا وظروفها القاسية، والاستعداد بالشكل المطلوب لخوض مواجهة البوسنة التي ستكون الفرصة الأخيرة.

Lopetegui pointed out that the team will play the next match without Hamam Al-Amin and Asem Madbouh after their expulsions against Canada, both of whom are important elements in the team’s lineup and on whom the coaching staff relies heavily, expressing confidence in the ability of the substitute players to fill the gap and achieve the desired result.
Lopetegui confirmed that the third match is no less difficult than the previous two encounters, noting that it will be different against an opponent with a different style, which requires optimal preparation.
