أعلن مجلس الدفاع الوطني المصري، الوقوف التام والتضامن الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، انطلاقاً من العلاقات التاريخية والوشائج المتينة التي تربط بين شعبي البلدين باعتبارهما قلب الأمة العربية، وإيماناً بارتباط الأمن القومي السعودي بالأمن القومي المصري والعربي.
وقرر المجلس في اجتماع برئاسة الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم (الأحد)، تقديم كافة أشكال الدعم اللازمة والممكنة للمملكة العربية السعودية للدفاع عن أمنها واستقرارها، وصون مقدراتها وسلامة أراضيها والمقدسات الإسلامية.
وقال المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية في بيان، إن مجلس الدفاع الوطني استعرض مجمل التطورات الإقليمية الراهنة، وما تشهده المنطقة من تطورات خطيرة، ولا سيما في ظل تصاعد الاعتداءات المرفوضة التي تتعرض لها المملكة العربية السعودية.
وأفاد بيان الرئاسة بأن مجلس الدفاع الوطني قرر مواصلة وتكثيف الجهود السياسية والدبلوماسية المبذولة، بالتنسيق مع الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية المعنية، بما يسهم في خفض التصعيد في الإقليم برمته وتسوية الأزمات التي تشهدها المنطقة سلمياً.
وترأس الرئيس السيسي، اليوم، بقصر الاتحادية، اجتماع مجلس الدفاع الوطني، بحضور رئيس مجلس النواب، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع، رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة، وزراء الداخلية والمالية والخارجية، رئيس المخابرات العامة، قادة الأفرع الرئيسية للقوات المسلحة، رئيس هيئة عمليات القوات المسلحة، ورئيس هيئة الاستخبارات العسكرية، وبحضور أمين عام مجلس الدفاع الوطني.
The Egyptian National Defense Council announced its full support and complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stemming from the historical relations and strong ties that bind the peoples of the two countries, considering them the heart of the Arab nation, and believing in the connection between Saudi national security and Egyptian and Arab national security.
During a meeting chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today (Sunday), the council decided to provide all necessary and possible forms of support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to defend its security and stability, safeguard its resources, and protect its territories and Islamic sanctities.
The official spokesperson for the presidency stated in a statement that the National Defense Council reviewed the overall current regional developments and the serious developments occurring in the region, especially in light of the escalating unacceptable attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The presidency’s statement indicated that the National Defense Council decided to continue and intensify the political and diplomatic efforts being made, in coordination with the relevant regional and international parties, to contribute to de-escalating tensions throughout the region and peacefully resolving the crises facing the area.
President El-Sisi chaired the National Defense Council meeting today at the Ittihadiya Palace, with the attendance of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministers of Interior, Finance, and Foreign Affairs, the Head of General Intelligence, the leaders of the main branches of the Armed Forces, the Head of Armed Forces Operations Authority, and the Head of Military Intelligence, along with the Secretary-General of the National Defense Council.
