Gunmen Open Fire
Local media released a video showing at least two gunmen firing several shots from close range at the front passenger seat of a car that was moving slowly through a crowd of people.
The Mumbai police reported that two people were injured in the shooting, including Shroff’s driver.
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stated, “We will not tolerate these attempts to intimidate people, and we will put an end to these acts of thuggery.”
Shinde visited the Indian star on Sunday evening following the shooting, noting that Shroff and his mother were in a state of panic and shock due to the attack.
Multiple Injuries
The first images of Indian star Tiger Shroff after the assassination attempt revealed that he sustained multiple injuries to his body and arm, with Shroff appearing with bandages on his shoulder and chest, along with a medical wrap on his right arm.
Attack on Stars
This incident raises increasing concerns about the safety of public figures in India, as several have been killed or injured in targeted attacks in recent years.
In 2024, Indian police arrested two members of a criminal gang in connection with an armed attack on Bollywood star Salman Khan’s home.
In January 2025, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by a thief who broke into his home.
