The incident of a hit-and-run that initially seemed like an ordinary traffic accident in India turned into a complex criminal case, after investigations revealed an alleged plot to kill a man and conceal the crime under the guise of a hit-and-run incident.
The story began when a 42-year-old man was killed while walking in the morning, and his wife reported to the police that an unknown car had hit him and fled the scene. However, reviewing the surveillance camera footage raised the investigators’ suspicions as it showed unusual movements of the car before the incident occurred.
As the investigations expanded, the police uncovered leads that led to the accusation of the wife and her lover, along with others, for their involvement in planning the incident, stemming from a relationship that had developed between them months earlier.
Investigations indicate that the accused believed the incident would be recorded as a mere traffic accident, but the contradictions in the narratives and the surveillance footage helped uncover the circumstances and led to the arrest of the suspects.
