The victory of Al-Shabab over their host Al-Fateh with a score of 3-1 in the Saudi Professional League was not just three points; the three goals brought an end to three periods of waiting, allowing “Al-Layth” to leave their opponent’s ground with gains that go beyond the match result.
Al-Shabab regained the taste of victory over Al-Fateh for the first time since the 2023-2024 season, while simultaneously ending their winless streak on Al-Fateh’s ground, which had lasted since the 2020-2021 season.
The gains for Al-Shabab did not stop at their encounters with Al-Fateh; they also put an end to a series of eight consecutive away matches in the league without a win, regaining the joy of returning with three points from their opponents’ stadiums.
Thus, the three goals were present in both the score and the tally of gains; a long-awaited victory against Al-Fateh, a win that had been absent on their home ground, and an end to their struggles away from home.
